With 1:20 remaining in the game, Sheri Ciccarelli blocked a layup by GAR’s Diane Breese that could have brought the Briers within five ‘points of the Dallas girls. Ciccarelli blocked the shot and Theresa Baseski took the ball up court and made a big three point play which increased the Lady Mounts lead. “Our rebounding was tremendous in the game with GAR,” said Dallas Coach Kit Karuza follow- ing the game. ‘‘Judy Krispin, Cheryl Gavigan and Kathy Walsh did a great job. Gavigan hit 14 rebounds and tossed in 12 points. “We pressed them hard nd tired them out and used more physical ability than we have been. It was the best game the girls have played in a long time. It was a better con- trolled game than they have had recently. “Baseski went to the basket four or five times and made her shots three times. She had a total of 11 for the game. Ciccarelli is playing a much better game. She is more confi- dent and is doing an ex- cellent job in her guard position.
