Eric Rain and the Altar
Boys will be the first local
group to release a record
in 1983 when their debut
single hits the stores this
week.
The new song “‘Sorry’’,
the pop tune, was written
by Ed Raineri (Eric
Rain), Forty Fort,
Nanticoke native, who has
spent some time in New
York honing his
songwriting skills before
returning home to release
his own record.
Eric said that times are
tough in the songwriting
business, so that is why he
decided to jump into his
own material.
Among the local people
on the disc are Larry
Sechleer of Leer
Brothers, Dave DiRisio of
Craig Bevan’s Tourists,
and Sherry Hinkle, who
contributes a fine vocal to
the record's flip side
wp gr
The record is the brain
child of Raineri, who has
no plans to perform
locally in support of the
sing. The Altar Boys are
really just a studio group,
said Eddie.

Walt blocked for and
likewise Larry did for
him. Then comes Joe

many of ‘‘Chi’s’’ and
Walt’s passes. Last but

Piazza, who blocked for
Walt and still has Walt’s
spike prints on his back
from when Walt ran over
