The Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Depart- ment is currently con- ducting its annual fund raising drive. Volunteer members have recently completed mailing the donation requests to all township residents. This year’s fund chairman, Wayne . Lamoreaux, is urging all residents to participate in the -annual appeal. He pointed out recent ex- pensesi for repairs and maintenance to the fire hall, and purchase of a “Fire Alert System’ to assist firemen in cutting the response time to call- outs necessitates a good community response. The pagers will serve a dual purpose in many instances since many firemen are members of the volunteer ambulance association and will also receive emergency ambulance calls,”’ Chairman Lamoreaux noted. “As our township characteristics continue to change, we must strive to improve and up-grade our fire-fighting capabilities in order to provide reliable services. This can only be ac- complished with financial support of all township residents.” Help us to help you by supporting the volunteer firemen through the 1983 Fund Drive.
