Follow the old rule - “In the spring, you spring ahead; in the . fall, you set the clock back an hour!” All Saints Day, one of the most important Feast Days on the Roman Catholic Church calendar, will be observed on Monday at St. Frances R.C. Church, Carverton, and its sister parish, Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Cen- termoreland. On Tuesday, All Souls Day will be celebrated in both churches with special masses, Rev. Father John Foley, pastor, has an- nounced. Tuesday is General Election Day when Pennsylvania voters will cast ballots for United States and state senators and representatives, as well as state governor. Polls will open for voting at 7 am. and close at 8 p.m. Election Day also is an occasion where several area groups Serve noon and evening meals as fundraisers. Mountain Grange 567 of Carverton will continue its practice of serving noon and evening meals .on of the Grange will feature wimpies, hot dogs with or without sauerkraut, soup, pie and coffee at the noon meals, and pancakes and sausage for the evening meal, starting from 4:30. Meals will be served in the Grange Hall, which also is a balloting spot for that area. At the Orange Com- munity Hall in Orange, where voters of Franklin Township cast their Women of Orange UM Church, will serve hot roast beef sandwiches and soup for the noon meal, and a hot roast beef dinner for the evening meal. At the Centermoreland United Methodist Church, where the church annex serves as the polling place for voters of Nor- thmoreland Township, church groups will serve a noon meal and an evening meal, and conduct an all day benefit bake sale on Election Day. Noon meal will consist of homemade vegetable soup. by the United Methodist Women of the church. Evening meal by the MMs Class of the church school will be chicken and waffles with homemade pie from 5 to 7. Friends of Mrs. Marian Brace of Orange will be glad to learn that she is now at the Leader West Nursing Home , in Kingston where she is undergoing therapy after being a patient in Wilkes- Barre General Hospital for several weeks as a result of an injury suf- fered in a fall at home. Workmen completed installation of new guard railing on Orange Road at the foot of Sickler’s Hill in Orange. The old wood- posts were replaced with metal posting and metal wire rope. Traver, Tunkhannock Road, Bowman’s Creek. The board will receive oral or written comments from taxpayers on the proposed use of 1983 Federal revenue sharing funds. Supervisors expect to receive a total of $18,990 in revenue sharing funds during 1983. A 1982 estimated carryover of $500 in revenue sharing funds also will be available for 1983. An arts and crafts boutique will be held at the old Beaumont school on Baftitddy, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. under auspices of the Monroe Township Community Association.
