Courtdale, Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Skating Party
A Roller Skating Party sponsored jointly by Trucks-
. | ville, Westmoreland and Dallas Borough PTO’s will be
held at the Roller King in Kingston, Thursday, Oct. 21,
from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Advance ticket sales will be held
Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 20 and 21, in each of the
participating schools. Tickets also may be purchased at
the door of Roller King. The public is invited.
Dinner
-.Luzerne County Democratic Committee announces its
dinner will take place Friday, Oct. 22 at the Woodlands
beginning at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will honor the com-
plete slate of candidates endorsed by the Luzerne County
Democratic Committee including AllenErtel, Cyril
Frank Harrison, 11th Congressional Candidate; Ray
Musto, 14th Senatorial District; Bill Connolly, 20th
Senatorial District, and others. Tickets may be obtained
by calling or writing the Luzerne County Democratic
Committee, 215 Miners Bank Building, Pittston, Pa.
"Roast Beef Dinner
The annual Roast Beef Dinner, sponsored by the Leh-
man United Methodist Women, will be held at the Leh-
man United Methodist Church on Oct. 23 from 4:30 p.m.
until all are served. Takeouts at 4 p.m. Tickets are
available at the door or from members. Committee
persons are Naomi Nuss and Lillie Lamoreaux, co-
chairpersons; Elda Coolbaugh, Ruth Disque, Janet
Eddy, Celia Ellsworth, Ruth Jones, Marguerite Krupsha,
Karen Perrego, Robin Rogers, Margaret Spencer, Helen

Bazaar
Town Hill Hobby Club will sponsor a bazaar, bake sale
and flea market, Saturday, Oct. 23, starting at 2 p.m. at
Town Hill United Methodist Church.
Roast Beef Dinner
St. Andrew's Orthodox Church of Dallas, is sponsoring
its annual Roast Beef Dinner, Saturday, Oct. 23 at the
Jonathan R. Davis Fire Hall, Route 415, Idetown. The
family style, all you can eat dinner, will be served from 4
to 7 p.m. More information can be obtained by calling
Mrs. John Kriel at 639-5004 or Mrs. Robert Rhodes at 696-
1650. A bake sale and bazaar will be held at the same

Roast Beef Supper
There will be a Roast Beef Supper and Bazaar at the
Dymond Hollow Methodist Church on Oct. 23 starting at
4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Adults $4.50, children, 5-12, $2.50.

Pork Supper
Town Hill United Methodist Women will sponsor a
Pork Supper, Saturday, Oct. 23, starting at 4:30 p.m. at
Town Hill United Methodist Church, served family style.
Pork Dinner
Lake Silkworth Fire and Ambulance Units will sponsor
their 5th Annual Pork Dinner, Sunday, Oct. 23, at the
Lake Silkworth Fire Hall. Serving will be from noon to 5
p.m. Donations are adults $5.00, children $2.50
Arts & Crafis Sale
The seventh annual Fancy Fair Arts and Crafts Sale
for the Oldest House, East Main St., Laceyville, will be
held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 22-23 from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the old landmark. Featured will be all homemade
items including tree and house ornaments and
decorations and gifts for all ages. A bake sale wil feature
‘“‘made-from-scratch’ foods. Coffee and funnel cakes will
be available all day with hot lunches of beef soup, chili
and hot dogs or cold lunches and other beverages. Dried
flower arrangements ‘‘do-it-yourself”’ bouquets also will
be sold. Everyone is invited to attend this big weekend
sale for “The Oldest’, which is easily reached by any
exit to the town from Route 6.

Washington, D.C., Bible College, and have had special
studies in Biblical Archaeology at Wheaton, Ill. College.
Services will be held Sunday at 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
and at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The
pastor, Arthur Keiser, invites the public to attend. The
church is located on the corner of Terrace and Poplar in
the Fernbrook section of Dallas.
Ballet Performance
The Ballet Society of Wyoming Valley will present the
Eglevsky Ballet Co., under the artistic direction of
Edward Villella, on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
College, will be held in the Darte Center for the Per-
forming Arts, South River and South Streets, Wilkes-
Barre. Reserved seats are $6 for adults and $4 for
students and senior citizens and can be purchased at The
Gift Box, Kingston; Humphrey’s Bootery, Shavertown;
Book and Record Mart, Wilkes-Barre; Lady Oris,
‘Wyoming Valley Mall, or at the box office prio to the
performance.
Music Program
On Sunday evening Oct. 24, the “Welsh Cookies’ will
present a full program of music, at the Idetown United
Methodist Church. The Welsh Cookies have entertained
in several areas of the Wyoming Valley. The Idetown
United Methodist Women are sponsoring the program.
The public is invited. “Love and Stuff’ beginning at 7
p.m. There will be a free will donation taken and refresh-
ments will be served.
UNICEF Drive
The Sarah Circle of the Dallas United Methodist
Drive for the Dallas area Sunday afternoon, Oct. 24. Any
(child interested in collecting should be at the church in
‘costume by 3 p.m. A permission slip must be filled out by
the child’s parents. Members of the Sarah Circle will
provide transportation and assistance. After collecting, a
treat will be provided at the church. Children should be
picked up at 5 p.m.
