winners to lead Dallas in

last Wednesday at the
Wilkes-Barre Stadium.
The Mountaineers won
their first meet to put
their record at 1-1.
Hanover won only five of
the 18 events. Bordley ran

meter winning relay

meter relay team and
another as a leg of the 1600
meter relay team. Tim
Guzek collected a first in
the 800 meter run and a
second one as a member
of the 3200 meter relay
team. Andy Manusky took
a first in the 110 meter
high hurdles and a first in
the triple jump. Mike
Kern placed first in the
shot put and in the discus.

The Lady Mountaineers
held first place in their
division last week by de-
feating Hanover 15-8
behind the strong hitting
of Kathy Walsh and
Debbie Shone. Both girls
drove out long triples and
scored three runs each to
aid in the Dallas win.
Shone had three hits for
five times at the plate and
Walsh hit two for four.
Banks hit two for three
and S. Ciccarelli had two
hits.
Chris Dombek was
credited with the win
striking out two and
walking nine.
The win put the Lady
Mounts record at 7-1.
The Dallas girls took
over - first place in the
league last Tuesday when
they edged Coughlin 6-5 at
the Dallas Little League
field.
The Crusaders were
leading 5-2 until the
bottom of the fifth inning
when the Lady Mounts
scored four runs. Kim
Reese started the fifth
inning rally with a single
and Kathy Walsh followed
with another single.
Tammie Sutton drove out
a double then Theresa
Judy Krispin copped
three first place wins
against Hanover and
picked up a fourth win as
a member of the Dallas
400 meter relay team.
Krispin won the 100 and
300 meter hurdles and
took first in the triple
jump, to lead Dallas to a
97-46 win over Hanover
Area.
Kathy Newhart took
first in the 100 and 200
meter dashes and Denise
Sitkowski was a double
winner, taking the 800 and
3200 meter runs. Denae
Schoner placed first in the
long jump and Sandi
Shone took first in the
high jump. Both girls
were members of the first
team with Krispin and
Robin Pawling.
