enjoy working with the
public.”

tended the annual Sunday
School picnic of Nor-
thmoreland Baptist
Church School at ‘the
home of Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Apaliski of
Centermoreland.
Miss ' Linda Brace,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Brace of Orange,
left Monday to begin her
junior year at Bloom-
sburg State College where
she is pursuing studies for
a degree in business
management. Miss
Brace, along with Bar-
bara Wallace, Lori Baird
and Barbara McCartney,
all of Dallas, returned
Monday after five days at
Wildwood Crest, N.J.
By the way, Linda was
selected Queen of the
Farmer’s Night Market in
Scranton early last week,
a promotion of the Far-
mers Night Market group
and Chamber of Com-
merce in Scranton. She

*I love sports so I love
my work,” explained
Dyanna. ‘I play softball
and volleyball during the
summer, and during the
winter I hunt and fish. My
favorite: season ‘is fall
because during this
season I do everything; I
play volleyball, softball,
lift weights indoors to tone
my muscles, and I start
going out hunting and
fishing.”
After listening to
Dyanna’s admiration of
sports and the outdoors,
one feels like buying
enough sports equipment
to outfit a Pikes Peak
expedition.
“I love hunting and
fishing because I love the
Back Mountain country,”
said Dyanna. “My
husband and I like. hun-
ting in the woods because
we feel free to do what we
want to do--talking and
enjoying life.”
Her husband, Stephen,
is also a devoted sports
fan. He celebrated his
26th birthday August 29 by
playing shortstop in .a
softball game, :
received floral bouquets,
cash prizes and dinner
tickets in being selected
from a group of six
competitors. She is en-
joying the popularity--
what with’ having her
picture in both Scranton
daily newspapers and
making the 6 o’clock news
on Channel 22-WDAU-TV.
Mountain Grange 567, P
of A, of Carverton will
meet Monday evening,
Sept. 14 at 7 in the Grange
Hall, Bodle and West
Eight Streets. Plans for a
sauerkrat supper to be
held in November will be
discussed. All members
are asked to attend.

Miss Joanne
Krzanowski, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
Krzanowski of Carverton,
a September bride-elect,
was honored at a variety
shower Saturday evening,
Aug. 22 in the Mountain
Grange Hall in Carverton.
About 60 attended the
shower, which was given
in her honor by Misses
Barbara Nelson, Dorothy
Larsen and Lisa Suchoski
and her mother, Mrs.
Joan Krzanowski.
