At their regular monthly meeting of June 10, 1981, the Kingston
Township Board of Supervisors proposed the following ordinance for
adoption:
KINGSTON TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE NO. 81-8
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF KINGSTON, LUZERNE
COUNTY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING
THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS FOR KINGSTON TOWNSHIP,
PENNSYLVANIA, ENACTED NOVEMBER, 1974 TO COMPLY
WITH THE PENNSYLVANIA MUNICIPALITIESPLANNING
CODE, ACT 247, AS AMENDED, ARTICLE V, S 502.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Supervisors of
the Township of Kingston, and it is hereby enacted and ordained by
authority of the same as follows:
SECTION I.
Section 4.2.1.1 of the Subdivision Regulation Ordinance of the
Township of Kingston, dated and enacted November 1974 is amended
to the extent that the application required to be submitted thereunder
shall also be accompanied by a review fee of Twenty-five Dollars
($25.00) to be paid by the subdivider and collected by the Township of
Kingston for transmittal to the Luzerne County Planning Commission,
as required by the Luzerne County Subdivision and Land Development
Ordinance and amendment thereto of September 3rd, 1980, which
provides that all subdivision plans sent to the County for review shall
be accompanied by a review fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) to be
paid by the subdivider.
SECTION 2.
The review fee of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) shall be in addition to
any other fees or charges heretofore imposed by the Subdivision
Regulations Ordinance of the Township of Kingston as enacted
November, 1974. >
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance is enacted under the authority of the Pennsylvania
Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247, as amended, Article V, S 502.
This Ordinance will be considered for adoption at the Kingston
Township Board of Supervisor’s regular monthly meeting on July 8,
1981 at 8 p.m. at the Municipal Building.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
In anticipation of a grant through the Luzerne County Office of
Community Development, and in accordance with the Office of
Management and Budget Circular A-102, Procurement Standards,

PROHIBITION OF PARKING ON STAFFORD STREET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Supervisors of Kingston Township,
pursuant to “THE SECOND CLASS TOWNSHIP CODE", as prepared
in accordance with the Home Rule Charter and Optional Plans Law,
Act 62 of 1972 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, effective
January 1st, 1976 that:
SECTION |.
The parking of vehicles on the easterly side of Stafford Street is
prohibited.
SECTION Il.
Any person violating this Ordinance, and the owner of any vehicle
parked in violation of this Ordinance, shall be subject to a fine and
penalty not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) and not exceeding Fifty
Dollars ($50.00) in any instance for the violation, which fine and
penalty may be collected by uit or summary proceeding brought in
the name of the Township of Kingston before any magistrate.
SECTION 111.
The Secretary of the Township of Kingston shall cause signs to be
erected at the proper places to comply with the requirements of the
applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
SECTION IV.
This Ordinance shall take effect upon its enactmeent.
This Ordinance will be considered for adoption at the Kingston
Township Board of Supervisor's regular monthly meeting on July 8,
1981 at 8 p.m. at the Municipal Building.

LEGAL NOTICE
The Kingston Township Board of Supervisors on June 10, 1981 at
their regular monthly meeting have adopted the following ordinance:
Ordinance No. 1981-6 !
An Ordinance authorizing the Township of Kingston to join with
other local government units as a Settior of the Pennsylvania Local
Government investment Trust for the purpose of purchasing shares of
the Trust.
WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust
was formed in accordance with the authorization contained in the
Intergovernmental Cooperation Act (19M2 P.L. 762 No. 180), initially
by the Boroughs of Chambersburg and Emmaus; and
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act provides that
any joint cooperation agreement shall be deemed in force as to any
municipality, when the same has been adopted by odinance by all
cooperating municipalities;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT SHALL BE ORDAINED as follows:
Section 1. This municipality shall join with other municipalities in
accordance with the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation
Act by becoming a settlor of the Pennsylvania Local Government
Investment Trust (the Trust) and entering into the Declaration of
Trust, which is adopted by reference with the same effect as if it had
been set out verbatig in this section and a copy of which shall be filed
with the minutes of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted.
Section 2. This municipality is authorized to purchase shares in the
Trust from time to time with available municipal funds, and to
redeem some or all of those shares from time to time as funds are
needed for municipal purposes. These actions are to be taken by the
officers designated for this purpose, pursuant to general or specific
instructions by the governing body adopting this Ordinance.
Section 3. The Trustees of the Trust are designated as having official
custody of this municipality’s funds which are invested by the pur-
chase of shares in-the Trust.
Section 4. As required by the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act
the following matters are specifically found and determined:
(a) The conditions of the agreement are set forth in the Declaration
of Trust referred to in Section 1;
(b) This municipality's participation in the Trust shall be ter-
minable at any time by ordinance ;
* (c) The Declaration of Trust and the purchase of its shares are for
the purpose of investing this municipality’s funds in obligations which
are otherwise legal investments as part of a pooled arrangement with
other governmental units, thereby achieving economic and other
advantages of pooled investments;
(d) It is not necessary to finance the agreement authorized herein
from municipal funds except through the purchase of shares in the
Trust. .
(e) The Trust shall be managed by a Board of Trustees as set forth
in the Declaration of Trust and the By-Laws provided for therein; and
(f) Share may be purchased and redeemed from time to time as this
municipality may determine to be necessary or appropriate to meet
its cash investment requirements.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective at the earliest date
permitted by law.
