ding scholastic
achievement during the
school year. These
attend a banquet held in
the high school cafeteria.
The speaker for this event
will be the Hon. Judge
Charles Lemmond. As a
tribute to the students, the
district has invited their
parents as guests of the
district. :
To qulaify for Honors
Night, the following
criteria has been
established: all new
members to the National
Honor Scoiety; those
students ‘by grade level,
who have maintained a
perfect 4.0 Q.P.A. during
three of four marking
periods this year; all
students’ who received
scholastic awards during
this year, i.e. Merit
Scholars, N.E.D.T.
recognition or scholar-
ships awarded by various
organizations for out-
standing scholastic
achievement; the out-
standing student in each
department, by grade
level. Students' to’ be
selected by the staff of
each department;
valedictorian and
salutatorian of the class of
1981; and the student who
best exemplifies out-
standing school and
community citizenship.
Dallas Senior High
School cheerleaders will
conduct ‘a cheerleaders
clinic from 9:30 a.m. to"
June 26 for girls seven
years to 12 years of age at
the Dallas Senior High
School gym.
Registration will be
held May 29, 5 p.m. to 6:30
p.m., on May 30, noon to1
p.m. The fee for the clinic
is $10 which ncludes a T-
shirt. -

The 1981 Com-
mencement Exercises for
Dallas Senior High School
will begin with a Bac-
calaureate service on
Sunday, June 7, followed
on Thursday, June 11,
with the graduation
ceremony.
The Baccalaureate:
service will be conducted
on Sunday afternoon,
June 7, 4 p.m. in the
Dallas Junior High School
auditorium. The in-
vocation and message will
be delivered by Pastor
Lynn Rothrock, pastor of
St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church in Shavertown.
Included in the service
will be a musical selection
by the senior choristers
under the direction of
Florence Sherwood.
On Thursday, June 11, 6
p.m., the Class of 1981 will
be presented by Edgar W.
Hughes, Jr., principal of
the Dallas Senior High
School to Earl Fritzges,
president of the Dallas
School District Board of
Directors. At the
‘graduation ceremony in
the Dallas football
stadium (in case of in-
clement weather, the
Dallas Junior High School
auditorium), platform
guests will ‘include Earl
Fritzges, president of
Board of Directors;
Gerald Wycallis,
