The new used- merchandise store will be located in the building formerly housing the Louden Hill Dairy Farms store on the north side of Rt. 309 near the Shaver- town Shopping Center. According to Lt. George Childs of the Wilkes-Barre Savation Army office, the Photo) store will carry a large line of clothing, furniture, and household goods. It will be open 9-5, Monday through Thursday, as well as Saturday and 9-9 on Friday. It will be the seventh: Thrift - Store operated out of the Wilkes-Barre Center. Persons wishing to donate clothing for sale in the Thrift Store may leave the clothing in bags at the dropoff boxes in the Shavertown Shopping Center parking lot, in the narking lots of the Dallas Acme Market, or the IGA Market in the Dallas Shopping Center. Fur- niture may be donated by calling Lt. Childs at 823- 4191 and requesting a truck for pickup. All donations are prepared by Salvation Army personnel before being put out for sale. Lt. Childs said the Thrift Stores provide funds for support of the Salvation Army’s residential centers such as the one on Hazle Street in Wilkes-Barre, which houses 40 men. The Salvation Army main- tains an extensive program of personal rehabilitation. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowery, of Market Street, Lehman, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jody Eileen, to Daniel M. Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Long of Idetown Road, Dallas. Miss Lowery is a senior at Lake-Lehman High School and plans to attend Luzerne County Com- munity College this fall for nursing. She is presently employed at Weis Markets in Dallas. Long is a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and is now a music major at Wilkes College. No date has been set fr the wedding. The 29th The Dance Students of College Misericordia will present a dance theatre production on Friday, May 1 at 8 p.m. in the college’s McGinty ED MIGLEY'S ‘CIRCUS ODYSSEY of the Prince of Peace Street, Dallas, will be held gymnasium. The production will include a series of jazz and modern bhia'l:l et works choreographed by the students and their dance on May 5 and 6 from 11 am. to 9 p.m. in the Church Parish House.
