Jacque Edwards has been _ appointed vice . president, Product Development, of Metropolitan Wire Cor- ~ poration, Wilkes-Barre, according to an an- nouncement . by Richard Maslow, president. w For 27 years, Edwards “was employed by Bucks County Enterprises, Inc. (Bucksco), starting out as . a plant worker and rising through the ranks of draftsman in the engineering department, manager of engineering, and, from 1970 to 1976, vice president . of engineering and manufacturing. In 1976, when Bucksco became a subsidiary of Metropolitan Wire, Edwards became vice president and general manager of Bucksco. Since 1979, he had been serving * as director of product development of Metropolitan Wire. Edwards is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in aeronautical engineering. He spent five years of active duty in the U.S. Navy, three during World War II and two during the Korean War. At the time of his discharge, he was a lieutenant, and the executive officer aboard a destroyer. He enjoys outdoor sports, particularly golf. He and his wife, Molly, live in Dallas. They are the parents of three sons and one daughter. Men of East Dallas United Methodist Church are completing plans for a pancake supper to be held at the church on Saturday evening, Feb. 28, with serving from 5 to 8. Supper will include pancakes, sausage, eggs, homemade pies, orange juice. Adult tickets at $3.50 or children’s tickets for $2 can be secured from v2 any of the men of the church will bake pies to augment the pancake dinner fundraising. Ladies Christian Class of the church will have a table of home paper goods for sale. Arrangements for the supper are being handled by members of the church trustee board of which Robert Eyet is president, assisted by Art Wagner, vice-president; Robert Moore, treasurer; Phil Culver, secretary; Russell Eyet; Glenn Howell, Jack Cook, Russell Ockenhouse and Frank Wagner, Jr. Roger Howell is in charge of tickets and Mark Howell is handling publicity for the benefit supper. A benefit soup sale will be held Friday at Shavertown United Methodist Church under auspices of the Com- mission on Missions of the church. Soup will be available ‘for pickup between the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $1.50 per quart and ‘patrons are asked to bring their own containers. Mrs. Eleanor Olenick is chairman of the com- mission, assisted by members of the church. On Sunday evening, March 8, at 7:30, the Lycoming College Choir will present a concert in Shavertown United is. composed of 40 young men and women of the college, who have been rehearsing since Sep- tember under the direction of Dr. Frederick Taylor.
