week, Lake-Lehman
matmen downed Sullivan
night, then defeated
Valley View, 33-17 on
Wednesday night.
In the meet with
Sullivan County = the
Knights lost the 98-1b. bout
Wrestling
postponed
The Dallas-Mountain
postponed from last
Saturday has - been
rescheduled for. Thur-
sday, Dec. 20 at Mountain
View.
JV’s will begin at 6
p.m., followed by the
varsity meet.
Lake-Lehman’s Black
Knights took second place
in two tournaments
during the past two
weeks.
Coach Shorty Hit-
sck’s matmen were
2d out of the team title
by two and a half points in
the Montgomery tour-
nament by Hughesville.
The Black Knights
copped three firsts, three
seconds, two thirds and a
fourth in taking the
runnerup spot.
Darren Barbacci took
the title at 105-1b. and 112-
Ib. Kevin Bonham placed
second at 112.
Rick Bonomo at 119-
lb. copped first place in
his weight class by out-
wrestling last year’s
regional champ, Mike
Baker of Hughesville, 5-3.
Joe Parsons came in
second at 132-lb. and
- Bernie Janusz placed
second at 138.
Tracy Slocum placed
third at 145-Ib. and Dave
Borys came in fourth at
155. Dave Wolfe managed
a third place spot at 185-
Leskowsky cinched the
heavyweight title with
two pins and an 8-4
decision in the final bout.
Rick Bonomo was
named “Outstanding
Wrestler” of the tour-
nament.
Last Saturday the
Knights came in second
behind the Tunkhannock
Tigers in the Tunkhan-
nock Tournament. The
Lake-Lehman matmen
garnered two firsts, three
seconds and a third in
claiming second place in
the eight-team com-
petition.

Dallas Senior’ High
School Holiday Basketball
Invitational Tournament
will open Thursday, Dec.
27, at 6:30 p.m., with
Lackawanna Trail junior
varsity playing the Dallas
junior varsity. At 8 p.m.
the Lackawanna varsity
will play the Dallas
varsity.
On Friday, Dec. 28, the
Wyoming Area junior
varsity will meet the
Tunkhannock junior
varsity and at 8 p.m.
Wyoming Area varsity
will play the Tunkhan-
nock varsity.
On Saturday, Dec. 29,
the winning junior varsity
teams will play for the
championship at 5:30.
Varsity consolation game
will be played at 7 p.m.

p.m. The tournament will
be P.I.A.A. sanctioned
and all P.I.LA A. rules will
be enforced. Officials will
be arranged for by Gerald

To keep the JV com-

basis, the varsity roster of
Knights have
eight members shall be
submitted to the tour-
nament chairman prior to
names on this roster will
be limited to varsity play.
Awards will be
presented to the varsity
teams for championship,
runner-up, consolation
and most valuable player.
The junior varsity awards
will include the cham-
pionship trophy and most
valuable player award.
An award will also be
‘presented to the first and
second place cheerleader
spirit.

Scott Jackson took a
major 10-0 ‘decision from
Joe Yanchunas.
The next five bouts
went to the Knights on
decisions.

continuing throughout the
day.
