He is a native of Canada and served as a Flying Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. Since his marriage to the former Judith Simms, he has resided in Lehman. Mike Diskin has been named as the 4-H organizational leader for the Back Mountain Bee- Gees group after having served three years as a project leader for the group. His projects have in- cluded public speaking and the summer 4-H program of softball and field trips. He is a 1975 graduate of the Great Lakes Recreation Leaders Lab and holds a supervisor’s rating with NRPA which is the national accrediting organization for the recreation field. Diskin is currently seeking project leaders in the Back Mountain area to handle such things as crafts, weather, nutrition, health, photography, home management, and wildlife ete. for boys and girls in the age 8-19 group. Weisz, assistant professor of English at Penn State, Wilkes-Barre ~~ Campus, will be a guest lecturer at Purdue University, West Lafyette, Ind., on Thursday, Nov. 15. Dr. Weisz will speak on business writing and analytical reports. She holds a PhD. in English from Purdue and a B.A. in English from Hunter College in New York City.
