William Theodore
Thompson, 74, of Lot 15,
4th Ave., 14720 113th Ave.
North, Largo, Fla., died
Aug. in Nesbitt Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre
Oct. 8, 1904, he was the son
of the late William O. and
Ida Newsbigle Thompson.
A graduate of Coughlin
HIgh School, he was a
resident of Forty fort and
Kingston before moving
to Largo 18 years ago.
Before retiring, he was in
business as an electrical
contractor.
Surviving are his wife,
the former Kathleen
Johnson of Lehman; son,
William R., Tampa, Fla.;
sisters and a brother,
Mrs. Conrad Kramer,
Miss Ethyle Thompson
and Harry Thompson, all
of Forty Fort; two grand-
children; five great-
grandchildren.

Born in Ashley, he was
the son of the late Jahoida
and Mary Ichter Evans. A
graduate of Ashley High
School, he was employed
by Vulcan Iron Works of
Wilkes-Barre for 42 years
before retiring in 1958. He
was a member of St. Leo’s
Church, Ashley:
Surviving are his wife,
the former Mary Kelly;
sons, William, Jr.
Ashley; Richard, Severna
Park, Md.; daughters,
Mrs. Margaret Mary
Drury, Wilmington, Del.;
Mrs. Rosalie Klosko, Bear
Creek; five grand-
children; three great-
grandchildren.

Burial in St. Leo’s.

Gus Bitsakas dies
in California
Gus Bitsakos, 85, of 220
Somerset Place, Lompoc,
Calif., died Aug. 4 at the
Lompoc Convalescent
Center, where he had
been a guest.
Born on the Isle of
Ikaria, Greece, he resided
in the Wilkes-Barre and
Dallas areas most of his
life. An Army veteran of
World War 1, he was
formerly the proprietor of
the Blue Shutter in the
Poconos and later the
Castle Inn in Dallas. He
was a member of Black
Diamond Chapter 55,
Order of AHEPAA. His
wife, the former Myrtle
Fowler, died in 1974.
Surviving are a niece,
Mrs. Zacharoulas Hayes,
Lompoc, with whom he
resided; brothers and
sisters, in Greece.

He is survived by his

Patricia, at home; sister,

Burial in Our Lady of

Mrs. Anna Gryskiewicz,
81, of Hillside Ave.,
Harveys Lake, died Aug. 6
at Valley Crest Nursing
Home.
Mrs. Gryskiewicz was
born May 13, 1898 in
Larksville, where she had
resided most of her life,
prior to moving to Har-
veys Lake in 1960. She was
the former Anna
Proballa. She was a
member of Our Lady of
Victory Chapel, Harveys
Lake, a charter member
of St. Stephen's Ladies
Club, Plymouth, a
member of the Ladies
Auxiliary American
Legion Post 655, Larks-
ville. Her - husband
Walter, died March 8,
1970.
Surviving are sons,
Walter Jr. Gryskiewicz,
Rariton, N.J.; Joseph
Gryskiewicz, Cornwall
Heights; Stephen Gris,
Old Forge; Edmund
Gryskiewicz, Larksville;
daughter, Mrs. Anna Mae
