The Phillies Major
League team won four
games during the past two
weeks defeating the
Dodgers 5-3, the Tigers 23-
8, the Indians 10-3, and the
Orioles 3-1.
In the game with the
Dodgers O’Donnell and
Dombek pitched for the
Phillies and Wilson did
the hurling for the
Dodgers. Rome homered
for the Phillies and
Michaels and Wilson hit
home runs for the
Dodgers.
O’Donnell and Harris
did the hurling for the
Phillies against the Tigers
and Hoffman pitched for
the losing nine.
Dombek went all the
way for the Dodgers in the
game with the Indians.
Rome and Steinkirchner
aided in the win with
Konopki did the mound
work for the Indians.
In the Phillies-Orioles
game, O’Donnell and
Dombek shared pitching
honors. Mihal and Gdovin
hurled for the Orioles.
The Orioles took the

doing the pitching. Wargo
was hot at the plate with a
home run. Coolbaugh
went the route for the
Yankees.
The Orioles shut out the
Yankees 12-0 with Mihal
pitching a two-hitter and
getting four hits at the
plate. Breining also aided
the Orioles with four hits
and Wasilewski had three.
Stibgen pitched for the
Yankees.
The Red Sox edged by
the Giants 9-7. Dent and
Medura hurled for the
Red Sox and Weidner and
Malak did the mound
work for the Giants.
Medura drove out three
home runs for the Red
Sox. Weidner homered for
the Giants.
The Giants overcame
the Dodgers 17-8 paced by
pitchers Malak and
Weidner. Wilson, Long
a great deal of pain and
discomfort. It can also
cause irritation and
ulceration of the digestive
tract.
But the real danger for
a person who has
swallowed gasoline lies in
the possibility that he or
she may vomit. If this
happens, there is extreme
danger that some of the
gasoline will enter the
lungs.

Dent led the Red Sox to
a 12-2 win over the Orioles
aided by Medura’s homer.
Mihal and Gdovin did the
pitching work for the

Bittner and Burba did
the mound work for the
Reds who eked by the
Dodgers 7-5. K. Shao and
Roozen did some out-
standing defense playing
for the Reds. Farrell
starred for the Dodgers.
Lawley pitched the
Indians to a 9-7 win over
the Yankees. Coolbaugh
hurled for the Yankees
and Stibgen drove out a
home run.
The Red Sox defeated
the Tigers 9-3 with Kwak
doing the hurling. Hoff-
man pitched for the
Tigers.

The
championship Yankees and four by the
game for postseason Centermoreland Phillies.

Division of the Bob won the games, 13 to 10, to
Horlacher Memorial take postseason honors..
Centermoreland had
won straight season
honors with a 10-2 record,
two full games ahead of
their Orange rivals, who
had staged a nip and tuck
race for straight season
honors during the regular
season, and had finished
with a 8-4 season mark.
Dan Charney, Roy Wall
and Ken. Davenport hit
circuit clouts for the
Yankees while Fred
Klimas, Bob Smith and
the Faux boys--Dale and
Art each hit the homeruns
for the Phillies. Charney
was the winning pitcher;
Fred Klimas hurled for
the Phillies. .
In semi-final games
last Wednesday, Cen-
termoreland defeated
Beaumont-Jenks, 36 to 9,
and Orange Yankees had
League on Saturday at
Centermoreland set a new
game record for home
runs with seven circuit

In the Senior Girls
Softball League, the
Dallas Phillies defeated
the Orioles, 14-7 on June
25, then downed the
Cardinals 20-18 on June
28.
In the Phillies-Orioles
game, Lynn Busch picked
up the win backed by a
triple by Roz Schmied.
Tricia Michael, Alice
Spencer and Busch hit
long doubles to the out-
field. Spencer picked up
three RBI's, Busch
collected two, Schmied
was credited with two,
and Michael, Judy
Sholtis, Holly Carson and
Diane Gilgallon earned
one each. Tammy Letteer
did the pitching for the
Orioles. Kin Reese hit a
double for the Orioles lone
extra base hit. Letteer,
Mary Jo McLaughlin,
Suzanne Gomba, Cathy
Newhart and Felicia
Tucker earned one RBI
each.
In the June 28 game,
Joni Dombek, Sheri
Ciccarelli and Alice
Spencer did the hurling
work for the Phillies.
Roz Schmied, RBI's were
credited to Mikulis 4,
Kerrie Preece, Holly
Carson and Diane
Gilgallon. Cardinal pit-
chers were Maria Malak
and Tracy Thomas. Patty
O’Konski hit a home run
and Sally Janosik drove
out a triple. Thomas hit
two doubles. RBI's were
credited to O’Konski 2,
Bergevin 2, Janosik, Rene
Corcoran, Lorie Linker,
and Joey Maniskas.
The Shavertown Yanks
edged out the Dallas
Cardinals 12-11 on June
26. Maria Sitkowski did
the pitching honors. A
triple by Tammy Sutton
and doubles by Suzi
Evans and Denise
Sitkowski helped take the
game. RBI’s were earned
by Sutton 2, Evans 4, D.
Sitkowski and Gigi Smith.
Doing the hurling for the
Cardinals were Maria
Malak, Tracy Thomas
and Patti O’Konski.
Thomas and Katie
O’Konski drove out home
runs.
On June 29, Dallas
Indians took the Lehman
Dodgers 27-5. Chris
Dombek did the mound
work for the Indians.
Chris Sobeck and Colleen
Leaf hit doubles. RNI’s
Sobeck 6, Kerrie Lehon 6,
Dombek 2, Susan Niskey
2, Laura Wright, Barb
Eyet and Georgia
Dombek. The Dodgers

Ondish’s squad had a

wins and a loss, will host
the Orange Orioles,
managed by Charlies
Davis, on Saturday.
