The announcement was made by General Cam- paign Chairman Frank Pasquini, and Special Gifts Chairman Mrs. R. Spencer Martin, Jr. Mrs. Jordan is a graduate of Allentown High School. In the past, she served as the president of the Luzerne County Dental Navy Gunner's’ Mate’ Seaman David S. Johnston, son of Robert S. and June D. Johnston of 84 Park St., Dallas, has completed the Navy’s Basic Underwater Demolition Team Course. The 20-week training the Catholic Daughters in - Shavertown; president of the Dallas Women of Rotary; four years president of the Dallas Women’s Club; two years secretary for the Luzerne County Federation of Women’s Clubs; and secretary for four years for the Roatry International Student Exchange Program in eleven districts. Dr. Jordan is an oral surgeon with an office in Wilkes-Barre. The Jordans have five children: Lynne, Margaret, Jeris, Corita and Paul. Jean C. Hauck, 4 Riverside Drive, Wilkes- Barre, has a B.S. from Newark State College in Art Education. She has served as an Art Supervisor in the Wyoming Seminary Day School and the Tunkhannock Area Scholls. Previously she was an executive member of the architectual office of ues, the use of demolitions, physical conditioning and underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) diving. A 1971 graduate of Dallas High School, and a 1975 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pa., with a Bachelor of Science degree, he joined the Navy in August 1977. Rand and staff drove from the Philadelphia area and made a visit to the Dallas Independent Order of Odd Fellows Oneida Lodge No. 371, Thursday evening., Jan. 11. The Lodge con- ducts their meetings in the hall above Fino’s Drug store located on Memorial Highway Dallas. Rand was accompanied by the following officers; Vernon P. Whitaker, Grand Marshall, Lan- caster; Paul C. Cooke Jr., Grand Conductor, Fairless Hills, Edward W. Binkley, Grand Chaplan, Kennett Square. Whitaker joined the Dallas Lodge when he resided in this area during the early 1940’s Alan Major, District Deputy Grand Master of the 20th District, was president. Reg Denmon) > oak § Q a = bow STEVE ADAMCHICK Steve A. Adamchick, 80, of 40 Hazeltine St., Shavertown died Friday, Jan. 12 after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. Deputy Coroner Richard H. Disque investigated and attributed death to natural causes. Born in Swoyersville, he resided in the community 74 years a nd lived the past six years in Shavertown. Adamchick was formerly employeed for 50 years and retired from Harry E. Colliery, Swoyersville, in 1957. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Church, Luzerne. : : Surviving are children, Thomas, Tuscon, Ariz.; Richard, Shavertown; Stephen, Dupont; Mrs. Helen Perhach, Swoyer- sville; Mrs. Marie Haley, Butera, Edwardsville; brother and sisters Joseph Adamchick, Kingston; Mrs. Nicholas Bunyak and Mrs. Helen Tomaske, Swoyersville; 16 grand- children and 10 great- grandchildren. Edwards, 85, of 72 Foster St., Dallas, died Monday morning at his home following a brief illness. Born in Sweet Valley Jan. 16, 1893, he resided in Dallas the past 35 years.
