The Wyoming Valley
Bicycle Club’s seventh
annual Great One Hundred
will start June 18 this year
at Luzerne County’s Moon
Lake Park. It will consist
of two loops of 50 miles
each, so that the riders will
be at Moon Lake Park at
the start, at the lunch stop,
and at the finish.
The tour covers 100 miles
of scenic Back Mountain
roads. The route is hilly
and, for most riders, a 10-
speed bike is recom-
mended. Entry fees are $4
before June 18 or $5 at the
registration desk on the
morning of June 18.
Registration will start at
6:30 a.m. on June 18 and
continue until the starting
time at 7:30 Those
wishing to pre-register (for
only $4) are urged to pick
up entry forms at local bike
shops or from Betsey
DeCosmo (492 S. Franklin
St., Wilkes-Barre).
Riders under 18 must
have parents = signed
permission before the

NURSERY SCHOOL ENDS -Trucksville United Methodist nursery school recen-’
tly ended an active year’s program with family picnics held on the Educational
Buildin, lawn. The school’s emphasis on awareness of self, nature and ac-
complishment aided the children in exploring and observing with field trips,
cooking, creating, experimenting and discovering. Students in the afternoon
