CHANGE OF WATCH--The United States Coast
Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 5-15 Wilkes-Barre, held it’s
annual Change of Watch dinner on Saturday, Feb. 4th.
Newly elected officers for the year were John J.
Morgan (right) Flotilla Commander and Charles E.
Fritz, (left) vice commander. The installation took
place at Gus Gennetti's in Hazleton and was followed
by a dinner dance. The primary purpose of the United
safety boating. Flotilla 5-15 will give a free thirteen
lesson boating safety and seamanship course starting
on March 13, 1978. The course will be held at Howard
Isaacs, Inc., in Trucksville, and will be held from 7:30
to 9:30 p.m: Anyone interested in taking the course
may contact Commander John Morgan at 779-4878 for
further information.

Coin Club will sponsor its
annual Coin Show and
Exhibit on Saturday and
Sunday, Feb. 18 and 19 at
the Master Hosts Inn of
Wilkes Barre at the uin-
terection of Routes 309 and
315-Kidder Stree. The show
will open on Saturday, Feb.
18 at 10 a.m. and continue
that day until 8:30 p.m.,
and on Sunday, the show
will open at 10 a.m. and
close at 6 p.m.
Forty-five dealers from
the U.S. and Canada will
offer one of the finest
arrays of U.S. and foreign
coins, currency, tokens and
medals ever presented in
the Noytheast.
Cub Scout Pack 232 held
its pack meeting recently
at Gate of Heaven Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Edmund
Webber of Idetown ob-
served their 24th wedding
anniversary on Feb. 6.
They were married Feb. 6,
1954, in Douglass
Presbyterian Church, Lee
Park. Mr. and Mrs. Fred

Fred, now serving with the
US Air Force and two
daughters, Mrs. Thomas

Mrs. Harry Hummel,

Fire apparently was due to
an electrical problem.
Hoover had been released
from the hospital just the
day before, where he was
recovering from a heart
attack.
On Monday morning,
Mrs. Elmer Hoover awoke
to find the roof of her
garage collapsed from the
‘heavy snow. Her car was
inside, but hopefully there
doesn’t seem to be much
damage. Time will tell
once it gets dug out of the
debris.
Best wishes for a speedy
recovery to Dewey Hoover
who was released from the
hospital on Saturday after
suffering a heart attack.
Widows Club
plans bird
program
The Back Mountain
Widows Club will hold its
regular meeting Saturday,
Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. in the
Trucksville Methodist
Church educational
building.
Mrs. Martha Williams
and her committee will be
in. charge of the covered
dish luncheon.
Mrs. Louise James will
show slides and give a talk
on the appreciation of
birds.
Dorothy Sisco will
preside. All widows in the
Back Mountain are invited.

Hospital.

Laurel, a senior at the
college, is concentrating in
economics. A graduate of
Dallas High school, she has
achieved Dean’s List
standing every semester of
her college career.
