The weather during the
past two weeks has played
. havoc with the schedules of
the Crown Imperial
bowling leagues with many
matches postponed until
later dates. A few leagues
were able to get their
matches in between
snowstorms and we have
those results for readers
this week.
In Friday night’s Major
League, Jan. 13 reports
show Wesley Citgo shut out
Franklin's Restaurant
paced by B. Lamoreaux’
225 (586). He had help from
T. Nevel’s 560, R. Bonomo,
Sr.’s 543 and J. Roan’s 531.
P. Jordan’s 231 (625) and
F. Adams’ 213-219 (599)
showed the way for Hasay
Chevrolet’s three points
from Shavertown Lumber.
F. Stevens aided with 572.
H. Bennett posted 545 for
the lumbermen. Steele’s
Restaurant and Dallas
Shopping Center divided

wrestling program planned
for Lake-Lehman students
will begin this Saturday
morning at 8 a.m. at Lake-
Lehman High School
wrestling room, according
to Jim Davis, varsity
wrestling coach.
The program which is for
interested students in
grades one through six was
scheduled to begin last
week but was postponed
due to the weather.
Davis said that the
elementary intra-mural
program will enable

youngsters to get a taste of
wrestling and a general
understanding of the
fundamentals.

cagers lose
Barre Campus cagers
dropped a close 88-83
contest to the Schuylkill
Campus team on Monday
night at the Lake-Lehman
High School gym.
The local five took an
early lead but were unable
to stave off the strong
offense of the visiting five
who came to within two
points as the half ended.
The local five had costly
turnovers which put them
behind by 10 points but with
five minutes remaining in
the game battled to take
the lead by one point but a
late rally by the visitors
put them ahead by five for
the final score.
High scorer for the locals
was Bob Hassel with 28
points.
Down by 11 at the half,
the Crestwood Comets
stormed back in the third
period to draw within just
two, but fell back again as
the game wore on, drop-
ping a 73-59 decision to
Lake-Lehman Tuesday
night on the Knights’ home
court.
Crestwood’s third
quarter surge was sparked
by the spectacular outside
shooting of Sanford Felder,
who led Comet scorers with
19.
But then the Knights took
charge again in the final
stanza, reeling off eight
