recently completed a four-
year residency program in
urologic surgery at the
Hines Veterans Ad-
ministration Hospital in
Chicago, Ill., He will return
to the area and begin
practice in Mid-July. He is
married to the former
Arlene Leski of Chicago.
They have two daughters,
Karyn and Michelle. The
Vecchio’s will reside in
Dallas.
Dallas Borough Police
Chief Ed Lyons graduated
last week from the State
Police Municipal Training
School at Wyoming where
he attended classes for 12
weeks.
Jennifer Maslow,
Shavertown, Marjorie
Henry and Pam Johnson of
Dallas, were among the
Wyoming Seminary
students who left on a five-
week tour of Europe. They
will visit six countries
including England,
France, Holland, Italy.
Switzerland and Austria
The trip is part of the study
tour program sponsored by
the American Leadership
Study Group. Mr. and Mrs.
John Vaida are
chaperoning the trip. Vaida
is music department
chairman.
Debbie Lozier, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Lozier, RD 5, West Dallas,
was named to the dean’s
list at College Misericordia
for the spring semester.
She will be a senior in
September at the college
where she is majoring in
elementary education,

being made available to
area Senior Citizens
through a joint program of
the Luzerne-Wyoming
Counties Office for the
Aging and Legal Services
of Northeastern Penn-
sylvania, Inc.
The Office for the Aging
is funding the ‘‘Senior
Citizens Law Project”
which is designed to assist
older persons in the areas
of Law Reform, Com-
munity Education, and
Consultation and
Representation.
In the area of law
reform, the projec. will
seek to challenge
legislative or ad-
ministrative practices
