A { James Nicholas, prin- cipal of Lake-Lehman Senior High School, an- nounced the 10 top honor students of the 1977 graduating class. They are Elizabeth Marshall, April Chamberlain, Mark Smith, Susan Dockeray, Cindy Ide, Sid May, Edward Mark, Jacob Spaargaren, Deborah Palmer and Karen Holdsworth. Elizabeth Marshall is the daughter of Mrs. Mary B. Marshall, Shavertown. She is a member of the National Honor Society and was a participant in the Intermediate Unite College rian program. She earned the D.A.R. good citizen award, is president of the student council, co-editor of the school newspaper, and a member of the Nor- theastern ~~ Pennsylvania Youth Philharmonic and Lake-Lehman Chorus. She plans to attend Princeton University and major in political science and education. April Chamberlain is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chamberlain. She is a member of the Lake- Lehman yearbook staff serving as design editor. He received the good citizenship award in eighth grade, is editor of the Knightlife, member of the honor society and tennis team. He also placed first in the Bicentennial essay contest. He plans to attend education in mathematics and science. Susan Dockeray is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dockeray, Oak Hill. She was 1976 homecoming queen, Unico and Lehman Horse Show representative and a member of Lazarus Teen Board and semi- formal court. Susan is treasurer for the senior class, varsity club, band and ski club. She also is a member of the honor society, district and regional band winner, and past member of the hockey recipient of the John Miliauskas Award. Susan plans to major in political science at The Penn- sylvania State University, Main Campus. Cindy Ide, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ide, Jr., Dallas, is yearbook copy staff editor. She is a member of the honor and was director of the ~ senior play. She also was first place winner in the Service Club sewing contest. Cindy plans to attend College Misericordia on a scholarship. Sidney May, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sterlyn D. May, Noxen, was District 2 wrestling champ, vice president of his sophomore class, vice president of the member of the honor society. He plans to study commercial art at Luzerne County Community College. of Mr. and Mrs. Edard Mark, Hunlock Creek. He is the salutatorian of his class and a member of the honor society. He also is a member of the yearbook Eq, a Salysa, \ staff, cross country track team and played a lead in the senior play. He at- tended Penn State University for three terms Penn State’s scholar program. Edward plans to major in engineering at the main campus of The Pennsylvania State University. Jacob Spaargaren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Spaargaren, Harveys Lake, was a member of the football team, tennis team, of the honor society and attended State University. He plans to attend a paramedic school. Deborah Palmer, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Palmer, Dallas. A member of the band, she participated in district band one year. Deborah also is a member of the chorus and has been in three musicals. She is a member of the honor society and was involved in both junior and senior plays.
