Family Life Bureau of the
Diocese of Altoona-
Johnstown.

with the Convention theme,

Oratorio Society chorus
includes a large number of
Back Mountain residents
rehearsing for the Palm
Sunday concert. Under the
direction of Clifford
Balshaw, New Goss Manor,
members of the chorus will
perform Mozart's
“Requiem’’ and Vaghan
Williams ‘‘Sancta Civitas”
at 3:30 p.m., April 3, in St.
Stephen’s Episcopal
Church, Wilkes-Barre.

The theme of the ser-
vices for the fifth Sunday of
Lent will be the ‘Need to
Accuse’’ and will concern
the actions of the various
people responsible for the
crucifixtion of Christ as
well as some historical and
present day situations of
‘‘scape-goating.”’
The final evening service
in the Lenten Series will be
held at 7:30,p.m. with The
Rev. Carlos Munoz, pastor
of the Centermoreland
Charge as the guest
preacher.
Following the Idetown
Service in the Morning
there will be a brief church
conference to take the
final = vote on the
prospective purchase of
the land behind the church
house.
At Lehman’s 11:15 a.m.
service the Sacrament of
Baptism will be held for

A native of New York, Sr.
Maureen resides at
Bethany Hall, 162 Lake
Street, Dallas, and serves
at Wilkes-Barre Mercy
Hospital, where she tends
to the needs of patients and
their families and the
hospital staff.

HARRY A. CRISPELL
Harry Albert Crispell, 70,
of Harris St., Dallas, was
pronounced dead on ar-
rival at Nesbitt Memorial
Hospital March 15 after
being stricken ill while
visiting in West Wyoming.
Born in Noxen, he re-
sided in Fernbrook the last
38 years. He was employed
as a tractor-trailer driver
by Pen-Fern Oil Company,
Fernbrook, prior to his
retirement in 1975. His
wife, Sophie, died in 1973.
Surviving are daughters,
Mrs. Eunice Compton,
Dallas; Mrs. Christine
Fowler, Camp Hill;
Harriet Crispell, at home;
four. grandchildren.

MRS. LEO YANKOSKI
Mrs. Leo J. Yankoski,
Queen of Peace Road,
Harveys Lake RD 2, died
March 18 at her home
following an apparent
heart attack.
The former Frances T.
Tworek, she was born in
Plymouth, and was a grad-
uate of Plymouth High
School. She resided at
Harveys Lake the last 25
years. She was a member
of the Good Shepherd
Polish National Catholic
Church, Plymouth.
Mrs. Yankoski was past
president of Harveys Lake
American Legion Auxiliary
past president of Luzerne
and Wyoming County
American Legion Auxil-
iary and vice chairman of
Junior Members of Ameri-
can Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her hus-
band; brothers, Walter and
John Tworek, Sweet
Valley; Frank and Michael
Tworek, Dallas.

Rebecca Marie Kennedy,

Mercy Hospital where she |
was born Tuesday. Her

Wilkes-Barre.
Also surviving are a
sister, Melissa Ann at
home; paternal grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Howard E. Kennedy,
Harveys Lake; maternal
grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Vincent DiGuisto,

ROBERT ROESE
Robert William Roese,
70, of Ross Township RD,
Sweet Valley, died at his
home March 17.
Born Feb. 12, 1907, at
Idetown, Mr. Roese re-
sided in the Sweet Valley
area the past 38 years. He
was employed as a bus
driver by White Transit
Company, retiring a num- |
ber of years ago.
Surviving are a son,
Robert Russell Roese,
Shavertown; daughters,
Betty Cowart and Mrs.

seven grandchildren.
