The Northeastern
Pennsylvania circuit
seminar for Jehovah’s
Witnesses concluded this
weekend. The 10
congregations, including
the Dallas congregation,
will resume their meetings
at the local Kingsdom Hall
assembly included the
baptism of 12 candidates.
Witnesses view this as their
ordination.

Christian Church will hold
its annual garage and
rummage sale on Satur:
day, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. according to an-
nouncement by ‘Richard
Yanalunas and Wayne Sch-
moll, co-chairmen of the
event. i
The sale, which features
both new and used articles
is one of the popular sales
in the Back Mountain. In
addition to the usual
saleable items, refresh-
ments and home-baked
goods will be featured.
Mrs. Ella Schmoll is in
charge of the kitchen.
The church welcomes
donations of saleable
items. Pick-ups can be
arranged by calling the
church office, 675-0611
daily 9 through 1. No large
appliances are acceptable.
The annual sale is in
support of the church
building fund. The Rev.
Ralph E. Bennett is pastor
of the Huntsville Christign
Church.
Members and. friends of
Grace Episcopal Church,
Butler Street, Kingston,
are invited to attend a
bicentennial dinner to be
held in the church
basement on Thursday,
Nov. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The menu will be tomato
juice, chicken on biscuit
with gravy, mashed
potatoes, peas, cranberry
and orange salad, relishes,
apple crisp, with ice cream
and coffee, tea or milk.
A baked goods sale will
be held at the same time in
the Wallis Room at the
church.
Reservations are
preferred and may be
given to any women of the
church or call Mrs. John
Romanowski, Shavertown.
Tickets will be available at
the door.

turkey 'dinner”’ at Dallas
Senior High School
Cafeteria Saturday, Nov. 6.
Serving will begin at 4:30

Proceeds from the dinner
are applied to Dallas
Rotary Charities, the club
is a leading contributor to
Back Mountain and area
civic and community
projects. :

A unique “Good News”
Seminar of interest to
Wyoming Valley and Back
Mt. residents will take
place on Sunday, Nov. 7, at
Huntsville Christian
Church, Huntsville, from 7
p.m. to 9 p.m., sponsored
by the American Bible
Society.
No prior registration or
cost is involved in the
seminar which is designed
to undergird and enrich the
effectiveness of individuals
engaged in civic and
church organizations. Mrs.
Roland (Helen) Nims will
direct the seminar. She will
be assisted by volunteers
who are currently par-
ticipating in imaginative
Scripture sharing projects.
