Ann Marie likes to cook whether it be plain foods or gourmet dishes, although with three children and a husband, who enjoys eat- with the exception being when they entertain small groups of their friends. The Nizniks moved to the Back Mountain in 1967 resided following their Marie Lesnick of Larks- ville, Ann married Paul Niznik in 1965. Both of them graduated from Larksville High School, although Paul was several classes ahead of Ann. He also was her neighbor, living only a few houses away on the same street. Their oldest daughter, Paulette, now in fifth grade at Dallas Intermediate was born in Lynwood but Lisa, fourth grade student, and Paul Greg, second grade, were born since they moved to Dallas: When Paul and Ann Marie decided to purchase their own home they chose the Dallas area because it was semi-rural and be- cause of the good school system. Last year, Ann became active in Girl Scouting and of Junior Troop 636. This year she assumed leader- ship and puts much of her time into planning troop program with her assist- ants, Mrs. Daniel Gold- man, Mrs. Arthur Ondish, and Mrs. Frank Rollman. Just recently they made plans for the next three months. She also is a member of the Dallas Mother’s Club and last season helped plan the Christmas holiday trip to Lancaster. Although no longer active because of other activities, Ann was a member of the Back Moun- tain Cultural Center and last year assisted in mak- ing Bicentennial items. She still helps them when called upon to do so. She is the coordinator, with the help of the school, of the volunteer aide pro- gram at Dallas Township Elementary School. She enjoys sewing nearly as much as cooking and makes many of her clothes as well as her daughters. She has made dozens of Halloween costumes for the children. Ann also likes to do upholstering. She is presently trying to master the art of macrame, and does a lot of embroidery. As a spectator, she en- joys all sports whether on television or on the scene. The family attends most of the school’s athletic events. The Nizniks take only short trips to historical sites which are of interest to the children. They are becoming interested in camping through the Girl Scout program. Ann likes music and since the girls are taking piano lessons, she is learn- ing more about it as well. Now she is beginning to think of Thanksgiving and planning her menu for Ann is one of our Back Moun- tain cooks who prepares everything from ‘‘scrat- We Have TRAINS & Formerly of Trucksville ( y Va N\( [ Y N r a ff bh ( j \ THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 Lehman United. ; Ltotovis Trustees will | [Football game] fHunter education ¥peeting tonight at] Halloween party fon] | Methodist Women meet | |Back Mountain Cluster meet tonight at 7:30...Fall | | tonight...
