The log cabin has been designed and built specifically for the use of Lake-Lehman elementary students, although the public is welcome to enjoy it. Several activities and special kits have already been put together for use by the district’s elementary people. Included are activities of tree identification (the woods adjoining the cabin have several labeled trees), tree ring analysis, and identification of local rock types. Dr. Francis X. Smith of the chemistry department will teach a Monday night class, Chemistry and Man. It will be a course for non- science = majors, with emphasis on practical Dr. aspects of how chemistry affects man and his en- Dr. Theodore Miller of the chemistry department will teach a Wednesday night course in Chemistry and Industry. This will be a descriptive course stressing the various chemical processes in- volved in some major industries. It is intended for non-science majors.
