detail about the ‘‘draft
dodger’. As far as we're
concerned pro boxing dug
its own grave with the
crooks they’ve got running
the sport. Had the guy who
claims to be champion lost,
his group would have gone
down the tubes for $20
million. Now you know why
Jimmy Young didn’t win? ?
There’s a lot of people on
payroll. When are the saps
going to get smart and
ignore these slobs???
Now to a real sport, pro
hockey, which has better
fights then there have been
in any boxing ring in the
last 15 years, the Philly
Flyers are comparable to
the Green Bay Packers.
They know how to over-
come adversity--and what
it takes to win.
We have a heap of
respect for them because
even with injuries they
make no excuses when
they lose.
What’s the most
frustrating thing in the
world?? A bad day on the
golf course when you can’t
hit the ball and putt.
Missing a little one-foot
putt can boggle your mind.
The shotgun tournament
slated for Irem on Sunday
was called off because of
too much sun. That’s one of
the classic moves of all
time. Yep, the esteemed
committee called the
tourney Saturday night
because it was raining!
Playing in a tournament
at Irem any more is like
playing 20 questions.
We know. of around 75
guys who showed up at 7:30
a.m. that are peeved.

Like to wish the best of
luck to Jack Chaney and
his Hearthstone Pub here
in Dallas. Jack was an
outstanding athlete at
Forty Fort High back in the
1960’s. He was an All-Star
end and grappler.
He's got the giant TV
screen for the sporting
events, too.
Hope N.Y. Giant fans
aren’t counting too much
on the recently signed
linemen from the WFL.
They aren’t too potent.
Giants need offensive
tackles to make them a
winner.
Isn’t John Havlicek of
the Boston Celtics a
pleasure to watch?? It’s a
out’
pity that John really hasn’t
gotten the recognition he
deserves. He's never been
tabbed MVP in the NBA.
We wonder when Bosox
fans will start booing Fred
Lynn??
Whatever the Reds are
paying Pete Rose, it isn’t
enough.

Rember it’s not how
much you know about any
sport, but who you know,
