‘Hey Mom, why, when
we're suppose to be going
over the Brooklyn Bridge,
are we taking the ferry?’’,
asked our George as we
rode up the ramp to the
Staten Island Ferry in New
York City.
“Why, because we can’t
find the Brooklyn Bridge!”
Could you believe it, 25
years (make it 50, com-
bining my years and Vin’s)
being native New Yorkers’
and we could not find this
large bridge?
During our Easter holi-
days, we traveled to New
York to visit the 1001 rela-
tives, eat all the goodies
that we don’t have in
Pennsylvania like,
Nathan’s specialties,
Pannells, grain pies and
dirty water frankfurters.
Oh, what heartburn!
While in New York we
contact Wally Gosart for
further information. R

I really love it, especially
when we are walking down
the block my parents live

Not only were the
Correales ‘nuts’ enough to
visit New York there were
several of our neighbors
like the Tomasellis’, who
enjoyed Easter with rela-
tives. The Hessions jour-
neyed to Long Island; the
Schleichs to Buffalo and
the Clearys to Waverly,
New York. We all agree,
the best part of going away
is coming back to Home
Sweet Home.
Speaking of returning
home, Connie Brongo and
Kay Sharpe have recently
returned from their unfor-
gettable bus trip to
Florida. It’s so unforgett-
able that everytime they
see a local bus, their sto-

one condition - that I print
my own, (thank goodness
it’s just the date they want
and not the amount). Well
on Friday, April 30, this
screw-ball of a reporter
will celebrate a birthday
and last week my parents
asked what I wanted for
this special day.
At that time I didn’t
know what to ask for, but I
do now...a new left leg.
+ Saturday I dropped a full
garbage pail on my left foot
and hopped around for
minutes with pain. Sunday,
I closed the car door en the

keep this pace, by Friday
I'll need a wheelchair! fgg
