. PAGE SIXTEEN Trinity Presbyterian Church has announced a full schedule of services during the Easter week- end. i Holy Thursday services begin at 6:30 a.m. with a sunrise prayer service. At 9:30 a.m. the morning women’s circle will meet at the home of Erma ‘Kelchner. At 7:30 p.m., the - congregation will gather for a communion candle- light service. On Good Friday, the day will also begin with the 6:30 a.m. sunrise prayer ser- vice. From noon to 3 p.m. the community Good Friday services will be held at Trinity, which is ‘located across from Dallas Township Municipal Build- ing. Easter Sunday will begin with the traditional sunrise service followed by the usual 9:45 a.m. church school for anyone age three through adult. At 11 a.m. the morning worship ser- vice is scheduled. Each of the sunrise ser- vices is followed by a coffee hour. Other upcoming pro- grams on the Trinity sche- dule include the Trinity Club potluck supper on April 23, a Westminster youth fellowship car wash on April 24, a Christian Education committee meeting on April 25 at 9 a.m. and the evening circle meeting at the home of Joan Kelley on April 26 at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Andrew Pilla- rella is minister at Trinity. “Lord of the Dance” is the theme for this years . Easter sunrise service at the Trucksville Methodist Church. A musical pan- tomine depicting the life of Jesus from his birth to his resurrection will be presented. ' The service is being presented by members of the U.M.Y.F. and will be held on the grounds of the Trucksville Methodist Church at 6:30 a.m. Easter morning. Afterwards there will be a ham and eggs breakfast sponsored -by the church school teachers. For reservations call Barbara Johnson 696-2384, deadline for reservations will be April 15. There will be a free will offering collected. Everyone is invited to attend. Music by two American composers will be pre- sented by the Wyoming Valley Oratorio Society on Sunday, April 25 at 3:30 p.m. in: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, South Franklin Street, Wilkes- Barre. Clifford Balshaw will conduct the 80-voice chorus in ‘Psalm 90” by Charles Ives and ‘‘Hora Novissima’’ by Horatio Parker. “Contributor cards should be obtained in advance from members of the chorus or Board of Directors, or at the office, 35 South Franklin Street; none will be sold at the Couples plan At a recent meeting of the Couples Club of Trucksville United Methodist Church plans were made for its up- coming garage, rummage and bake sale to be held April 30, 6 to 9 p.m., and May 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the educational building. Contributions of clothing, furniture, small appliances, dishes, linens, door. All seating is re- served for card holders until 3:15, when others will be admitted to available seats. The charge-wide Holy Thursday Communion Service will be held at the Idetown Church at 7:30 p.m. Joined by the Kunkle United Methodist Church. - The Rev. Michael Bealla, pastor of the Kunkle church will bring the message. The Idetown Church will also be the site of the evening Good Friday service sponsored by the Back Mountain Clergy. The time for that service is 7:30 p.m. The Friendship Class of the Lehman church will sponsor the Easter sunrise service and breakfast. The Lehman wind ensemble under the direction of Rosendo Santos will play The guest preacher at the 6:30 a.m. service will be the Rev. W. James Pall, a senior at Boston University School of Theology. The regular Easter services will be at 8:45 a.m. at Jackson; 10 a.m. at Idetown and 11:15 a.m. at Lehman and will focus on the Change of the ressurection made in Juses’ Disciples. The men’s class of Leh- man Church will meet at the home of John Sidler at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20. The Farr Family, nationally known for their ~ musical interpretations and original music will present a concert of sacred, gospel songs en- titled “The Family of God” at the Westmoor Church of Christ, 57 S. Goodwin Ave., Kingston, on Saturday, April 17, at 7 p.m. The eight-member Farr Family utilizes a combina- tion of musical instruments along with a unique blend of children and adult voices to appeal to people of all ages. Their music centers around the love of God and how this love can heal and unify the troubled families of our present day. The Nicholas Farrs are from Middletown, Pa., and are currently on their eighth U.S. Concert Tour. Eric, the oldest son, writes much of the music, arranges and plays vibes, piano, synthesizer and also features as tenor soloist. Kurt plays trombone and bass. Joy, the only daughter is featured on the harp, while Nick II is fea- tured on drums. Mark and Joel, the two youngest, are vocal soloists and contribute to the happy cert.
