Following the cadet band performance, the Knights band will present a program of contemporary music interspersed with patriotic numbers in observance of the Bicentennial year. Specialty number of the concert will clarinet, David Brown on trumpet, Norman McCaffrey, tuba, Philip Smith, tenor saxophone, trombone, Larry Major and drums, Paul DeBarry. The band front will perform in two numbers and the narrator of" the finale will be Ronald Kinney. Tickets for Thursday night’s performance are limited with seats guaranteed. Friday and Saturday nights are regular admission. Tickets may be purchased from any band ° member, from Francis Wilczewski, concert chairman, or at the door. The public is invited to attend. Mothers and female band members are reminded to bake for the sale to be held all three nights by the Band Sponsors Association, in the high school lobby. Mrs. Michael Houssock is chairman. Following the concert, Knights band personnel will be hard at work practicing for their trip to the field show and parade competition which will be held in Louisville, Ky. prior to the Kentucky Derby. Dates of the trip are April 27th to May 1st. Band accepted an invitation to this Kentucky Derby Festival. Gwen Salansky is handling radio and television publicity for the band in conjunction with Mrs. Betty R. DeBarry, publicity chairman for the band sponsors.
