Bicentennial Commission
met recently to plan a town
meeting to be held on April
26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dallas
Huntsville Road.
The town meeting is
being sponsored by the
Parents Teachers
Organization together with
the Dallas Senior Women’s
Club.

An Easter egg hunt for
the younger children of
Jackson Township will
open the 1976 Bicentennial
‘observance in that area
Saturday, April 17.
Children, age three
through fourth grade, are
invited ' to participate
providing they are
residents of Jackson
Township and have an
admission ticket. Tickets
may be picked up at
Schall’s Store, Chase
Corners; the home of
Richard Arnold, Hillside
Road, Trucksville; or
Huntsville Christian
Church.

The discussion leaders

Tom Reese, chairman of
the mini-park committee,
reports that the borough
engineer is in the process
of preparing a
topographical survey for
the architect’s use in
designing the park. The
architect’s will proceed
when this information is
made available to him.
Plans are being made by
the Boy Scouts under the
supervise the hunt. Willing
workers should report at
the Grove, 9 a.m. Satur-
day, April 17.

prepared a list of those

permanent sign may be
erected commemorating

nounced a demonstration
in the colonial art of
quilling to be held at the
Library on April 28.

limited number of
Bicentennial flags for sale
at the tax collectors office.

The Lehman Township
history committee is still
looking for information on
the history of Lehman and
all the family sketches they
can obtain.
The public only has a few
more days to mail or call
either Beverly Ide - 639-
5918 or Shirley Rit-
tenhouse-477-5969 with such
material. The committee
has set the date of April
16th as the deadline for all
information.
The committee extended
its thanks to all who have
given time and effort to see
this Lehman history book
published.

day that Clarence Corby of
Centermoreland, is chair-
ing bicentennial activities
for Northmoreland Town-
ship. Corby is a member of
the board of supervisors of
Northmoreland Township.
