PAGE TWO to attend workshop On Friday Feb. 20 representatives from the Lehman United Methodist Charge will be attending a workshop on the church’s response to the world hunger crisis. The workshop will be held at the Clark’s Summit United Methodist Church. The Idetown Church’s Couples Club will have a covered dish dinner and meeting on Saturday Feb. 21. The theme of the Sunday service will be-‘‘Pillars of Faith-No. 3-Reason” The Sacrament of Baptism will be administered. Also on Sunday the Confirmation Class will meet at the Parsonage at 5 p.m. The Lehman and Idetown UMYF's will have their meetings at 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday represen- tatives from the charge will be attending a meeting in Kingston on several district concerns. Also on Tuesday the Leh- man United Methodist Women will be having a special Bicentennial Program ‘Freedom, then, now and tommarrow. “All God’s Children,” a religious musical group, will appear on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Park Neigh- borhood free Methodist Church, Trucksville. “All God’s Children” is a group of high school teens who travel around the Northeastern United States communicating God’s love through music. They sing both the old hymns of the church and contemporary gospel music, and present Christ with a contagious "due enthusiasm that is fresh and appealing to all ages. The group is directed by Chandler Mason from Oneida, N.Y. The service begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to anyone who would like to attend. EDWARD FE. REES Edward F. Reese, 59, of Colonial Road, High Point Acres, Dallas died Feb. 11 in General Hospital. Born in Pottsville, Sept. 9, 1916, he was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Rees was affiliated with Pomeroy’s Stores as merchandise manager for many years, retiring three years ago. Most recently, he was advertising manager for the Dallas Post. A member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, he was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Elizabeth Dorasavage; daughter, Mrs. William Fabiny, Langhorne; son, Dr. William C. He formerly was employed many years by Irem Temple Country Club and Hazard Wire Rope and last was employed by Hillside Farms, Trucksville. Strauch, 79, Factoryville, a retired city fireman, died Saturday in Community Medical Center where he had been admitted 10 days ago. Born in Scranton, son of the late Oscar and Margaret Bauer Strauch, he retired from the fire bureau in 1948 after 27 years of service. During those years he resided in South Scranton. His wife, the former Mabel Stewart, died in 1967. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
