A local business man
learned that there are
some people who listen to
their conscience last week
when he received the
following unsigned letter.
James Davies, owner of
“The Hut” and ‘Davies
Office Supplies’’, brought
the following letter to the
Post.
“Dear Sir,
Enclosed is $25. The rea-
son is that I stole some
sir, that isn’t right and I
would like to now pay you
back.
Don’t worry. I didn’t
steal this money. I got it for
Christmas from my
parents.
I’m really sorry for what
1 did, because I knew it was
wrong.
I don’t know about you,
he told me this was wrong.
I know that you never
would have known that I
took some stuff but Jesus
would.
I assure you that this
money more than covers
what I took.
In Christ’s Love,
Please forgive me.”
The letter was unsigned
but was postmarked from
Mansfield. Davies was
unaware that merchandise
was missing from his office
supplies store but is most
appreciative of the writer’s
honesty in sending the
money.
