The boys of St. Michael's
are once again looking
forward to this special time
of the year. Looking ahead
to the Christmas season,
the youngsters will be
praying for the success of
the annual Christmas
Appeal for St. Michael's.
The prayers will be for
the success of a new wood
working shop which will
enable the boys to receive
training in all phases of
carpentry. ‘Also, for the
success of the new group
home in Williamsport, Pa.
The Christmas Appeal,
which started the day after
Thanksgiving, may have a
greater meaning to the
boys this year with the
special programs in mind.
Father Joseph P. Kelly,
M.S.W. Director of St.
Michael's, noted that
thousands of letters will be
distributed throughout the
dioceses urging people to
contribute to St. Michael's.
Funds contributed
through the appeal this
year will again be used for
necessary items to house
the boys and to keep them
in good spirits through the
year.
Father Kelly noted that
the generosity of thousands
in the diocese in the past
has been heartwarming
and he is confident that the
appeal will again be
successful thei Christmas
