The craft booth, whose
profits were donated to the
library, was the
culmination of several
months of effort by the Jay-
C-ettes as they found one of
their first projects a
success.

effort to the project were:

vice president and Carolyn
Bulford, Deborah Ruckno,
and Danette Kelley, craft

The boothfeatured group
projects including hand-

ornaments, fabric flowers,
decoupage plaques, and
Americana bonnets, along
with beautifully detailed

employed as a
Kindergarten teacher by
the Lake-Lehman School
District.
Mr. Sharp recently
received an associate
degree from Pennsylvania
State University. He is
employed by Lazarus
Department Store as a
buyer.
The wedding will be
solemnized Aug. 2 at 11
a.m. in the Prince of Peace
Episcopal Church, Dallas.

The Harveys Lake Yacht
Club will hold a shipwreck
party on July 26 at the
clubhouse. The cocktail
hour will begin at 6:30 p.m.
followed by a Polnesian
style buffet at 7:30.
Dancing will begin at
9p.m. with the Bajalas
proving the music.
Reservations must be in
by July 19. Members may

held their installation of
officers for the year 1975-76
at the Irem Temple
Country Club recently.

The Harveys Lake Lions
Club held its instalation
and charter night banquet
at the Brothers Four
restaurant on June 28 with
over 100 people present.
This triple affair was a
great success for the Lion’s
Club as present had an
enjoyable time.
The night began with a
cocktail hour in the
program, the historian told
of the past twenty five
years of service and the
thousands of dollars
expanded by the Lions Club
in serving the community
that it serves. He told of the
“fortitude and the energy”
of the thirty five members
of this club in their
endeavors to make our
community a better place
to live in.
The installation of the
new years officers was
next and past president
and charter member

installing officer. Those

The Dallas Senior
Citizens Center has
announced that trips are
now being sponsored.
Reservations are presently
being taken for the trip to
the Allentown Fair on Aug.
8. The group will leave at
noon to give ample time to
see the exhibits before the
grandstand show during
which the Osmond
Brothers will perform. The
cost of $10.50 covers the
cost of the bus, entrance to
the fair grounds, the
Harold J. Rose, Jr.,
president and chief
executive officer of The
Wyoming National Bank of
Wilkes-Barre, announced
the appointment of Charles
Parente, Dallas to the
board of directors of that
bank.

Tickets have been
purchased for the stage
show of sound of Music at
Lakewood Musical
Playhouse at Barnsville for
Aug. 14. The groups for this
show will leave 4:30 p.m. to
allow time for a dinner at
Libbeys in Tamaqua before
the show. The cost of $9.20
covers the cost of the
dinner. Each one will order
their own choice from the
menu.
