John Topolewski, pastor of Trucksville Methodist Church, officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. Dr. Dexter Weikel presided at the organ and Dr. Daniel Sandstedt was the soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, handmade her gown of candelight polyester crepe. The gown was styed with a high fitted, fine tucked bodice, square neckline, satin yoke and full sleeves with satin cuffs. The skirt Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baseski, Hill Drive, Franklin Township, will observe their 38th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. They were married on May 6, 1937, in St. Mary's Church, Swoyersville, by the late Rev. Joseph Buda, pastor. The occasion will be marked with a family dinner at home. Mrs. Baseski is the former Miss Wanda Harzinski, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harzinski, = Swoyersville. Baseski is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Baseski, Swoyersville. For years, he was associated with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in the Kingston area, and more recently following the Agnes disaster, worked with HUD. The couple has two sons, Barry of Crown Hill Manor, Franklin Township, and They also have five grandchildren. The Harveys Lake Women’s Club executive board held their regular monthly meeting at the Ruggles Methodist Church on May 21. Mrs. Taft Truska presided. Plans for a rummage sale were discussed. She has completed a teaching assignment of English to foreign students at the School for In- ternational Training in Brattleboro. Skits are being practiced and various acrobatic and dance routines are being refined. May Day will take place during alumni day ac- tivities on the Kingston prep school campus, and alumni will again be in- vited to view the 2 p.m. program, in the North Maple Avenue gymnasium. The traditional student program will open with the entrance of the May court and the crowning of the May Queen by the runner- up vote-getter. The May court is made up of the seven top vote-getters in the seminary May Queen election. The program to follow crowning ceremonies is performed in the queen’s honor. Co-chairing the May program are seniors, April Krajeski, Wilkes-Barre, Pittston. The two are both May Queen candidates as well. They are assisted by Mary Shafer, Kingston, in charge of the trampoline performances; Tracy Innes, 'Shavertown, heading up floor apparatus routines; and Robbie Bravman, Kingston, tumbling.
