Misericordia implemented the program in the spring with seven students enrolled. All seven of the older students selected different courses, ranging from biology to theatre arts. The program, one of the first of its type in the country, received enthusiasm from both the students and faculty members involved. Faculty personnel indicated that the older students added ‘‘new insight” to classroom discuss- ions, according to a college report. Misericordia’s summer day classes begin on June 24.
