The brothers are currently negotiating for a drug store, they say, to open in the center soon, and they are negotiating with a beer distri- butor who may occupy the building which stands in the foreground, close to the high- way. The center is conveniently located on the highway which is the main artery linking the Back Mountain communities with the west side of Greater Wyoming Valley. And ac- cording to Mr. Connolly, the shopping center should provide an ev etter location when the Cross "Valley Expressway is completed. Tax Collector Calvin McHose reported he collected $12,020.46 in property taxes for the month of March. This figure represents the total amount collected after two percent rebates were paid. Mr. Merrill said the same regulations apply as in the past. Items that are heavier than what one man can lift will not be picked up.
