Bennett St., Luzerne, David M. ~ O'Donnell, 21, of 209 Poland St:, ~Swoyersville,; and Leonard Sharon, 252 Grove St., Pringle. The injured patrolman was officer Carl Miers. Mr. Kovalik was also charged ‘with malicious mischief after he damaged a rear door of the Dallas Township police cruiser + by kicking it. Dallas. Township patrolmen Carl Miers and Russell Banta answered a call from _Stone- ridge owner William Isopi at 1:10 a.m. Friday morning. Mr. ~ Isopi reported that there was a ‘fight going on that he couldnt stop. . The . township officers were joined ‘ by officer ‘Sev Newberry from Dallas Borough and by officers: Joseph Beurke - and John Lohman of Kingston Township. When the police arrived they found three . people fighting: When ‘the brawlers refused to hreak up the fight, the police intervened. At that point, one of the three mien ran. Remaining were Mr. Kovalik and Mr. O'Donnell. Mr. Dwyer was removed to Nesbitt Hospital where nine facial stitches were required to close cuts ahove-and below his eye. The police have suggested that Mr. Dwyer. bring assault and battery charges against Sharon.
