volved when a student in
Mary Nulton’s class brought in
eggs which Frances Klaboe, a
third grade teacher, identified
as quail eggs.
After labeling them for
morning and night, the students
turned the eggs twice a day,
joining Mrs. Novy Saturdays
and Sundays to assist in the
turning. While waiting for the
chicks to hatch, Mrs. Klaboe
showed a film about a chicken
family, and Mrs. Novy read the
embryo development after

Easter Egg Hunt
Attracts Children
Some 550 children filled the
Dallas Senior High School gym-
nasium. Saturday afternoon for
the seventh annual Easter Egg
Hunt sponsored by the Dallas
Junior Woman's Club.
The children eagerly combed
through the straw which was
laid beneath a white tree, deco-
rated with colored eggs and
basket decorations. Each child
received a numbered chocolate
lollipop in the shape of a rabbit.
Bach also received a bag of
candy and an orange drink.
The highlight of the afternoon
was a visit from Mickey Mouse
and his friends from Disneyland
and of course ‘Mr. Bunny.”’ The
Disney characters were from
supervision of Mrs. Jack
Kloeber and Mrs. Adam Crist.
The children enjoyed talking
with all their Disney friends.
“Mr. Bunny’ was played by
Debbie Lozier.
Mrs. Rowland Ritts and Mrs.
Francis Smaka were co-
chairmen of the event. The
annual hunt is one of several of
the Junior Woman’s Club com-
munity service projects.
