President Stanley McMinn led parents and teachers through a series of small group ‘‘brain storming’ sessions. Each small group listed concerns and recom- mendations for helping teachers and school officials in their work of educating youngsters. Each small group presented their suggestions or concerns. Many of the same recommendations were raised by different groups. Committees were formed in several areas to make a thorough study of situations and offer the PTA recommenda- tions for action. Included among the committees were playground, bus transportation, ungraded classes, teacher- volunteer aides, curriculum, communications, and parent- teacher conferences.
