A big congratulations goes to
the Junior class for their
presentation of School Spirit
Nov. 24. The juniors won the.
Wall Contest. A special thanks
goes to Jeff Guyette and Mary
Beth Donachie for their work as
chairmen. A fine display was
also given by the senior and
sophomore classes. Keep up
that SPIRIT!
Christmas Dance
The Student Council will
sponsor a semi-formal
Christmas Dance Dec. 22, from
8to 11. The dance will be held in
the school gym with music by
‘Shenandoah. Priscilla Kloeber
has been named as chairman
with Roger Brown as co-
chairman. The following people
have been chosen as committee
chairmen: Kathy Futch,
decorations; Mike Kasper,
tickets; Karen Purvin,
programs; Dave Lieberman,
refreshments; Diane Masoner,
publicity; Pam Taddei, invita-
tions. We hope to see all of you
Dec. 22.
Thursday Night At The Movies
We hope no one has forgotten
about movie night, sponsored
by the Junior class. Keep Dec. 9
open for Edgar Allan Poe’s The
Fall of the House of Usher,
starring Vincent Price. It’s sure
to be a night of fun and excite-
ment.
Football
The annual Thanksgiving
football game between Dallas
and Lake-Lehman was held
Dec. 1, at the Wyoming Area
stadium. In spite of freezing
temperatures hundreds of
Dallas fans came to cheer their
team to a 45-0 victory over Leh-
man. As a result of their victory
the Mountaineers will keep the
shoe for another year and win
the B division championship.
Student Teachers to Leave
Dallas
Dallas will be losing two
student teachers Dec. 12. Mr.
Daney and Miss Dorish, both
from Wilkes, have been
teaching World Cultures and
Spanish, respectively, for the
past eight weeks. Everyone has
enjoyed having them and would
like to wish them good luck.
Trucksville

The WSCS of Trucksville
United Methodist Church will
hold a smorgasbord in the edu-
~ cational building tonight begin-
ning at 5.
Junior Girl Scout Troop 705
will meet today at 4 p.m. in
Trucksville United Methodist
Church. Tomorrow night at 7:30
in the educational building of
the church the group will hold a
candlelight ceremony and court
of awards. Meeting will not be
- held Dec. 16, 23 or 30.
Auxiliary to Trucksville Fire
Company will hold a covered
dish and Christmas party for
members and their husbands.
Firemen and their wives will be
guests. The affair will be held
Monday evening, Dec. 13 at the
fire house. Women members
will exchange gifts.
. Friendship Class of Trucks-
ville United Methodist Church
will hold their meeting and
Christmas party at the educa-
tional building the evening of
Idetown
Guests at the home of Mr. and
~ Mrs. Jesse Boice recently were
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Boice of
~ Rochester, N.Y., Mr. and Mrs.
Galen Walker with Kevin and
Michele of Silver Springs, Md.,
and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Mayer with Herbie and Connie,
Outlet.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hoover
spent Thanksgiving weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Long of
Warminster.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lamoreaux
of Arlington, Va., spent the
weekend with his mother,
Thelma Lamoreaux.
Traveling to the West Vir-
ginia home of Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Calkins for Thanks-
giving were Charlotte Calkins,
Linda Whitesell and children,
Matthew Todd, Christopher and
Alison.
The first week of deer hunting
season found many of the Ide
family enjoying life in their
cabin. They included Joe, Rol-
land, Orville, Elliott, Bradley,
Floyd, William and son Bill—all
of them Ides!
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Christ
and Debbie and Cheri of Delran,
N.J., spent Friday with Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Margellina. Mary
LaBar returned to New Jersey
with them and will spend the
winter at the Christ home.
Dec. 14. Gifts will be ex-
changed.
Kingston Township Board of
Supervisors will meet in the
municipal building Dec. 15 at 8
p.m.
Mrs. Robert Mathers,
Hickory Street, entertained her
card club Friday evening.
Tables were decorated in the
Christmas motif. Gifts were ex-
changed.
Mrs. Sherman Harter, West-
moreland Hills, is a member of
the arrangement committee for
the annual Commodore’s Ball.
The event sponsored by the
Harveys Lake Yacht Club will
be held at the Irem Temple
Country Club at Dallas Dec. 26
at 8 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ridall Sr.,
former residents of Trucksville
Gardens, celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary Dec. 5.
Before retiring Mr. Ridall
operated his own business.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gachia
and daughter, Rebecca, Tren-
ton, N.J., spent several days
with Mr. and Mrs. George Gay-
lord and family, Lewis Avenue,
Mrs. Robert Thompson and
infant daughter have returned
to their home at 130 Woodbine
Road from General Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray W. Turner,
Sutton Road, Mr. and Mrs. Neil
Turner, Mountaintop, and J.
Lee Turner, Kingston, will en-
tertain at a cocktail party and
buffet Saturday in honor of
Atty. and Mrs. James Anzalone
of Hayfield Farm, Lehman. The
party will be held at the Ray
Turner residence.
Jay Pope, Warden Avenue, a
senior and a member of the
Concert Choir at Bloomsburg
State College, will be a partici-
pant when the choir presents its
Christmas concert Dec. 12 at 7
p.m. at the Haas Center for the
Arts at the college.
Mrs. Asher Weiss, Harris Hill
Road, has moved to New Paltz,
N.Y. Her address is c-o Harold
Deitrich, P.O. Box 386, New
Paltz, N.Y.-12561.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Schwartz,
Los Angeles, Calif, visited rela-
tives and friends in the area
several days recently.

United Methodist Church met
with William Dickson, West-
moreland Hills, Thursday
evening. All members of the
board were present.
Daniel Slagle, 16-year old son
of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Slagle,
Highland Avenue, made his
first solo flight from Cherry
Ridge Flying Service in
Wyoming Nov. 13.
