A fish dinner will be served by Trucksville United Methodist
Friendship Class at the Educational Building. Reservations can
be mage with Blanche Atherholt, Alberta Lohman, or Gertrude

hold an Ability Auction beginning at 8 p.m. at the church.

feature handcrafted articles made by Back Mountain craft-
smen.

Dallas Junior Woman’s Club informal dance at the Con-

A turkey supper, Soosored by the Dallas Order of Eastern
Star, will be held at the Jackson Fire Hall. Baked goods and
Christmas Corner items will also be for sale.

The Milton Hershey Glee Club, well known for its Broadway
type production; will appear in concert at the Dallas Junior
High School tonight at 8. Tickets for the performance may be
purchased from any member of the Dallas Rotary Club.

Some of the best cooks in the Back Mountain community are
memuers of the W.S.C.S. of the Lehman United Methodist —a
fact ®ey capably demonstrate each year through their roast
beef supper. Serving will be from 5 p.m.

The Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Victory Chapel will
sponsor a Trukey Party at Sunset, Harveys Lake, at 7:30 p.m.

Dallas Junior Woman’s Club annual card party will be held in
Gate of Heaven auditorium at 8 p.m. A wig show and fashion
accessories demonstration will be given.

Roast beef dinner sponsored by WSCS of Lehman United
Methodist Church will be held at the church beginning at 5 p.m.
Also the UMYF will hold a bake sale at the same time and place.

College Misericordia Players will present a play-out entitled,
“The American Dame.” Curtain time, 8 p.m. Tickets are avail-
able at the door.

The first annual Holly Bazaar at the Trinity Presbyterian
Church will open at 10 a.m. and continue to 8 p.m. Women of the
church have been busy since spring making Chrsitmas gifts and
decorations, jams and jellies, handcrafted items, and many
appealing children’s gifts. A sandwich bar will provide snacks
for hungry shoppers.
Nov. 20
Boy Scout Troop 281 paper drive. Bundled and tied papers’
should be taken to Dallas United Methodist Church.

Troop 635 of Carverton held
its Brownie Investiture cere-
mony Oct. 21. Eight Brownies
from the area were taken into
the troop: Maria Augustine,

Cubs To Organize
A meeting will be held in the
basement of St. Francis Cabrini
Church Nov. 1 to organize a
Carverton Cub Scout pack for
boys from Franklin and King-
ston Townships. Boys must be
between the ages of 8 and 10, or
7 if in the third grade to be eli-
gible for membership.
Parents of interested boys
should attend the meeting
which begins at 7:15 p.m.

welcomed into the troop by Mrs.
Hugh MacDerment, leader, and
by Mrs. Howard Stibgen and
Nita Crich, assistant leaders.
Following the ceremony the
entire troop put on skits, the
purposes of which were to ex-
plain the Brownie “B’s”’: be a
discoverer, be a friend maker,
and be a ready helper. Other
Brownies participating in the
program were: Lisa Augustine,
Sharon Baines, Peggy Cobleigh,
Loretta Donnelly, Lisa Gryske-
vicz, Pam Krispin, Margie
Luke, Terrie Metz, Annet Miko-
lachik, Suzanne Santerelli, and
chilled milk.
