Denmon 675-0419 Due to the popularity of Art Appreciation as an evening course, the extension division of College Misericordia will offer two sections of the course for the fall semester, it was announced by Sister Mary Eloise McGinty, RSM, Regis- trar. One section will meet Tuesday evenings from 4 to 5:40, and the second will meet - Thursday evenings in the same time slot. Valued at two credits each, both sections of the course will be instructed by Ralph Kaleshefski, assistant professor of art at the college. The course is described as ‘‘a survey of art from primitive to modern.” Registration for art apprecia- tion and the additional 35 courses being offered by the college for the fall semester will be held at the college from 8:30 to 4 daily, Aug. 30 through Sept. 3. The classes offered by the extension division are open to both men and women and may be taken for credits toward a degree, toward certification, or College for the-fall term. Cathy attended two summer sessions at Juniata College in Hun- tingdon. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Llewellyn, Shavertown, have returned home following a tour through the New England States. The were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Lewis, of Forty Fort and Harveys Lake. Mary Fargo, San Jose, Calif., has returned home after visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. William W. Weigel. She also visited her niece, Mrs. George Poynton, Davenpot Street, Dallas, while in the area. Thomas Swingle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Swingle, has returned home from Sky Lake Camp, N.Y. Margaret Dilg, 118 N. Main St., Shavertown, celebrated her 91st birthday last Sunday. Mrs. Dilg is the mother of Mrs. Theodore Woolbert with whom she makes her home. She is best defined as 91 years young. She is still active, is keenly in- terested in current events, and is an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sha- vertown. Members of the Dorcas Society of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and their husbands held a swim party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hill, Shavertown, Sunday. Youth Committee of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will attend a retreat at Moon Lake, Aug. 26, 27 and 28. They will finalize last minute plans for the coming year.
