wShivaree Turns
Into Nightmare
A shivaree that got out of
hand resulted in extensive
damage to the mobile trailer
home of Mr. and Mrs. David
Crossmon shortly after mid-
night Saturday, the Dallas Post
learned earlier this week. The
Crossmons, who were married
June 12, live in Noxen.
According to Mr. Crossmon,
he and his wife, the former
Deborah Jurista, were
. awakened by gun shots outside
their home late Saturday night.
Several persons then pounded
on the trailer, Mr. Crossmon
said, and when the couple

dressed and went outside, they
found approximately 15 men
and women standing about.
“They told me to put my wife
in a wheelbarrow and push her
uptown,’ reports the young
bridegroom. ‘I just thought
they were going to have a little
fun so I did what they said—I
sure didn’t know they were
going to make such a mess.”
When he and his bride
returned to the trailer a short
time later, they were heartsick
at the sight that greeted them.
Their bed had been turned
upside down, a lighting fixture
had been pulled from the
ceiling, shaving cream smeared
over a new rug, curtains torn,
their clothes and furniture
Plains Rally
Costs Game
Manager Wayne Brandt's
Dallas Legion team out-hit the
Plains Legion nine 8 to 6 but
were unable to overcome the
Plains rally for three runs in the
fifth inning and lost a hard
fought game 4-3.
Loncoski, winning pitcher,
was relieved by Franchella in
the sixth inning. Greg Novroski
relieved losing pitcher Alan
Schilling in the sixth for the
Dallas team.
Extra base hits were knocked
out by Francis Wallace and Ed-
ward Riefenstal.
