PAGE TWELVE The Dallas Post ALEX REBAR) Carverton Husband Signs Peace Bond A surety of the peace charge against William Levi of RD 3, Wyoming, resulted in his signing a $500 peace bond following hearing before Dis- trict Magistrate Leonard D. Harvey recently. According to testimony of- fered by his wife, Dorothy Levi, the defendant ‘‘had been drinking most of the day” of April 26, and ‘‘came over to me and put his fist under my nose and asked me if I wanted it right now.” She stated that he con- tinued to make threats in an abusive manner and hit a pet dog she was holding in her lap. Mr. Levi denied that he had been drunk on the date indica- ted on the complaint and in- sisted that he had made no threats against his wife. He added that he would not simply make threats to hit her if this were his intention, but would in fact hit her. After a lengthy discussion with the two parties, Magistrate Harvey exacted a promise from the defendant that he would not misbehave in the future and directed him to sign a $500 peace bond. Prosecution fees totalling $17.90 were also paid by the defendant. DEPART JULY 19. NEW SHIPMENT SPRING TOPS ALL COLORS ALL SIZES ST. The committee asked the board of supervisors to approve the plans at the May 12 meeting. Jack Jones has been named as playground director. Information was received from the State Department of Transportation that there is not sufficient money in the license fund, and a road payment will not be made until after July 1. Due to this situation and to sewer construction, local road and street programs will pro- bably be delayed.. There will be some patching of Lehigh and Price Streets in June, however, according to Supervisor Ed Richards, who is also chairman of the road committee.
