Barre, is director of Orpheus
and Norma Smith, Dallas, is
accompanist.
The program will include
among other groups, the Now
Sound of Orpheus, the New
sound of Orpheus and the
Patriot Sound of Orpheus. Some
new numbers are ‘‘Traces,’”
“Spinning Wheel,” “Ring Bell,”
as well as religious composi-
tions ranging from con-
temporary to classical.
The Orpheus is currently in
its 52nd year and is comprised
of some 50 singers from both
Luzerne and Lackawanna
counties.

Dance Band
to Play
For Parents Assoc
The Lake-Lehman High
School dance band will enter-
tain at the regular meeting of
the Band Parents’ Association
next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the
high school. The musicians are
chosen from among the mem-
bership of the concert band and
they provide entertainment for
various school events.
On the agenda for the meeting
is election of officers and
completion of plans for the
Sherburne, N.Y., trip June 5
and election of officers.
Bus reservations for parents
and friends must be in to Nellie
Scouton or Mrs. Cletus Holcomb
at the high school by May 15.
Dinner reservations for the
Country Club are to be given to
Mrs. Gilbert Tough by the same
date.
The week of May 16 to May 22
has been designated as Band
Booster Week. Band members
will distribute commemorative
decals from door to door to help
raise money for new uniforms.
Band members and band
parents are working in conjunc-
tion with the school board to
accomplish this project by next
fall.
Hoagie sale will be held May
25 instead of May 18 because of
election day. Orders may be
called in to Mrs. William Teske
or Mrs. Dale Wright by May 23.
