Molley was the big gun for the electricians with 221 (571). Members of Community Service League found high scores hard to come by as they had difficulty scattering the pins. J. March lion roars Into Back Mountain Somehow the daily activities of Back Mountain residents continued, though slowly, last Wednesday and Thursday des- pite a heavy snowfall. Approx- imately 9 to 12 inches fell. The period was marked also by heavy gusts of wind up to 60 miles an hour. Blowing snow made it difficult to see in many road areas, and drifts were heavy and deep. The storm finally tapered to snow flurries by Thursday afternoon, with a daytime high near 30 degrees. Early Wednesday morning school in Dallas District was not cancelled, but many buses were delayed and students were late. Some teachers were unable to get to school because of road conditions. School officials finally decided to dismiss all classes about mid-morning. No attempts were made to have school Thursday or Friday due to liazardous driving conditions. During the peak traffic hour Wednesday mornin Lerch was high for the laundry with 167-162 (464). B. Bonning and P. Poynton hit in the 160’s to help overcome Garrity’s C. By the time workers were supposed to go to work Thurs- day morning, they found it an impossibility to get driveways dug out or plowed of the heavy fall. Those who were near enough walked to work.
