And gow the night is here.
Snov'¥is falling down,
And is laying on the ground.
Children hung up their sockings and jumped

With visions of Santa in their heads.

Christmas Joy
We have a tree,
I'm as happy as can be
For Santa made it just for me.
Now that Christmas day has come,
And all the work has been done,
Let’s take time to have some fun,
And tell mom and dad, ‘‘well done.”

at King’s Dec. 28-29
The attention at King’s
College in Wilkes-Barre is being
directed to the second annual
King’s Classic to be held Dec. 28
and 29. Teams participating are
King’s, East Stroudsburg,
Oneonta State, and the Univer-
sity of Bridgeport.
Action will get underway Dec.
28 at 7 p.m. with East Strouds-
burg facing the University of
Bridgeport, and with King’s
facing Oneonta at 9.
Winners meet for the second
Dallas Grad scores
for BSC freshmen
Dave Jones, a graduate of
Dallas Senior High School and a
freshman at Bloomsburg State
College, dropped in seven field
goals and hit a perfect 11 for 11
from the f ur line to lead the
Huskies witn 25 points in a con-
test with the Kutztown Golden
Bears Dec. 15. The Huskies won
the game from the Bears, 76-70,
with all five players who saw
action hitting twin figures.
The freshman coach is Burt
Reese.
Dave is the son of Dorothy J.
Jones, Shavertown, and of
David C. Jones, also of Shaver-
town.
Calssic title Dec. 29 at 9 and the
consolation contest will pair the
losers at 7.
Last year, the tournament
title was won by American Uni-
versity of Washington, D.C., in
a thrilling 89-88 overtime
contest from host King’s. Laf-
ayette downed Madison FDU
for the consolation award.
Coach Ed Donohue of King’s
originated the Classic and feels
interest in the tournament will
grow with each year.
Directed by the veteran Hal
Sisson, East Stroudsburg was
off to one of its finest starts in
history this year and even in-
cluded an impressive win on the
home court of Bloomsburg
State, one of its traditional and
bitter rivals.
King’s also has done well in
the first half of the month and
Coach Donahue has been
pleased that the team overcame
the loss of 6-6 Roland Carpenter
because of broken foot bones
and continued to win.
With Oneonta entered the
Classic, former St Rose of Car-
bondale Coach Ed Kassler, one-
time member of the Scranton
Miners of the Eastern League,
will be on hand to add interest to
the tournament. He brings his
Red Dragons in from the ‘“‘snow
country’ of New York State.
