Doreen Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Davis,
Idetown, is on crutches after suffering an injury in a fall. She isa
student and cheerleader at Lake-Lehman High School.
Mary Glahn was a recent guest of her daughter, Marjorie, who
is an elementary teacher in Hazelton wher she now resides.
Mrs. Alfred Rogers and family, Shavertown, wish to thank all
who sent flowers, cards and for helping in any way during their
recent bereavement.
Mrs. William Carroll and Mrs. Ira Smith, Dallas, and Mrs.
Roland Eagle, Huntsville, spent some time last weekend in East
Stroudsburg attending the Fred Waring Workshop. They sang with
Waring’s Pennsylvanians Saturday.
Mrs. Anna Walter, 54 Gerald Ave., Dallas, has reported that
she has an Easter lily in her yard with two large blossoms in full
bloom.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Ryman, Mary Valentine, Dallas, called on
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoover and Flossie Sutton recently.
Mrs. Theodore Frankenfield, Wanamie, Mr. and Mrs. William
Stroud and family, Virginia, visited Flossie Sutton and her sister,
Minnie Sutton, Sunday.
Iva Hoover is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Hoover.
Robin Ann Lee, Philadelphia, and Cassie Cilvic, Outlet, have
returned from camp at Beach Lake.
Clara Lockwood, Linda and Mark, Kingston, N.Y., recently
visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gosart and her mother, Flossie
Sutton.
Marie Ritts of Oak Hill and Jane Bicking of Dallas have re-
turned from a 10-day tour of Florida. They also spent some time in
Havana.
Clifford Davis of Idetown is a surgical patient in the Veteran's
Administration Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Lannon and children, State College, visited
Mrs. Lannon’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Davis, Idetown, over
the weekend.
The Hayden A. Evans family, formerly of Trucksville, is on the
move again. They élosed their home in Framingham, Mass., last
month and after the wedding of daughter, Sheryl, in Norwalk,
Conn., Mr. and Mrs. Evans and son, Hayden (Butch), Chippewa
Falls, Wis. Mr. Evans is associated with Amoco Chemical
Packaging Products as national retail sales manager.
Richard M. Tattersall Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tat-
tersall, Harveys Lake and Wilkes-Barre, enlisted in the armed
forces Sept. 22 at the recruiting station in the Veterans’ Adminis-
tration Building.
Richard will receive training in motor transport and will take
basic training at Fort Dix, N.J.

Dallas Senior High School will
observe Homecoming Day Oct.
10 at the Dallas High School.
The Mountaineers will compete
with West Side Tech that after-
noon. A motorcade, starting at
the Dallas Shopping Center, will
kick-off the afternoon’s
festivities.
The Homecoming Queen will
be crowned during halftime
ceremonies. Seven candidates
have been chosen by vote of the
senior class. The Queen will be
selected by vote of the entire
student body.
The Homecoming dance will
be held that night after the
game, from 8 to 11.
