Every year the popular candy booth is sup- plied with fudge by volunteers and members of the Dallas Ju- nior Woman’s Club. The club chairman of the booth this year, Mrs. Dwight Nunemacher, 127 N. Main St., Shavertown, and co-chairman, Mrs. Peter Duda, 41 Davenport St., Dallas, have given The Post two tried-and-true fudge recipes. Members of the Dallas Junior Woman's Club will weigh and package the homemade candy at the booth for all those with a sweet tooth. The candy will be supplied by loyal volunteers and club members, they will make most of the fudge from these two recipes. I just received a letter informing me that the stuff I submit to the Dallas Post each week has been incorporated into a column entitled, ‘‘Jottings.” It hints, further, that I may be surprised and just a little(?) pleased. The fact of the matter is, I feel like a firefly who has just passed through an electric fan—I'm de- lighted! But—I’ve been asked to continue sending in the Lake Silkworth “news.” Since I am a very shy, bashful, wall-flower- type individual (ahem) who doesn’t get around much any- more, the Lake Silkworth “news” 1 submit will probably be very brief. Is there anyone in this neck of the woods more _ qualified than I who would like to give it a try? The pay ain’t much but there are other ree- wards just as, ‘n’ maybe even more, gratifyin.’ If no one pipes up and I continue, as promised, to try to give you something readable, won't you all help and give me something writable? Well, here’s something. Lake Silkworth’s Boy Scouts hiked off in an easterly direction Friday afternoon for a weekend camp- out.
